On a recent trip to Maine on a lake with 2 Turbo Cats, my 2011 Apex was leaving them on the "Big End"! I saw 114 MPH and conditions were not optimum for Top end runs. I checked adjustment of EXUP when I got back and it was slightly off, adjustments were made!
I was told by a top mechanic in Fort Kent that the 2010 is the fastest of all the Apex models! He said in 2011 they went to a 16 valve head? But when I read my handbook it says it has a 20 valve head? Any feedback?
Yes! The Sno Fins are custom made! I got the idea from Simmons Skis. Here is the part they sell:

Just purchased a NEW 2011 Leftover Apex last February and took it to Bingham Maine to break it in! Love the sled, but hated the darting! It even ran hot at one time going along the trail? When I got back home I applied some add ons to the stock skis that worked GREAT on my 04 Warrior for some 6...

I had changed them on my 04 Warrior. Sold that, I now have a 2011 Apex. If I remember they pop in! Wet the end and it will go in with a little tap from a hammer.
What's the story with "The RED RELAY"? I have a 2011 Apex that I purchased last year. It was a new leftover. I only have 500 miles! Is this only for certain years?
OK I found out this much, The Power Steering is "Speed sensitive" So it must be connected to the Prox on the Driveshaft, and it is also "Load sensitive" so if the ski's are stuck on something the power steering is disabled to prevent damage to the motor. There might be more to it than this, I'll...
Update: Put in new connector and it does not work! "EPS" warning indicator comes on and no Power Steering! I check new connector for continuity and all is good, and I check the 40 Amp "EPS" fuse and its good? They have to be kidding me where they located this fuse, along with the "Main", and...
Checking under the hood of my 2011 Apex and I noticed a piece of Gray Plastic down in the bottom just sitting there. Upon further investigation I found the Gray 4 pin connector of the Power Steering Control Unit was destroyed with the harness end having just the pins hanging? I have no idea how...
Is the 1200 faster than Ski-Doo's 800 E-Tec? Well here's what happens when you put an 800E-Tec up against a new Apex!
