On a recent trip to Maine on a lake with 2 Turbo Cats, my 2011 Apex was leaving them on the "Big End"! :Rockon: I saw 114 MPH and conditions were not optimum for Top end runs. I checked adjustment of EXUP when I got back and it was slightly off, adjustments were made!

I was told by a top mechanic in Fort Kent that the 2010 is the fastest of all the Apex models! He said in 2011 they went to a 16 valve head? But when I read my handbook it says it has a 20 valve head? Any feedback?

Is this a common problem with the Apex? I checked and I notice 4 relays. I read that some are replacing them all? Has this problem left anyone stranded?

I had changed them on my 04 Warrior. Sold that, I now have a 2011 Apex. If I remember they pop in! Wet the end and it will go in with a little tap from a hammer.

What's the story with "The RED RELAY"? I have a 2011 Apex that I purchased last year. It was a new leftover. I only have 500 miles! Is this only for certain years?

OK I found out this much, The Power Steering is "Speed sensitive" So it must be connected to the Prox on the Driveshaft, and it is also "Load sensitive" so if the ski's are stuck on something the power steering is disabled to prevent damage to the motor.
