Have any of you had any success replacing the stub shaft, bearing and seal? I have a similar situation where my machine is noisy at idle, grinding sound at a slow creep. The loctite on the stub shaft has been tried by my dealer but it only lasted 45 km before the noise returned. Any thoughts...
My dealer has worked hard to resolve my concerns. I left the machine with them for a month and the owner himself test drove it on a number of occasions, in various conditions and temperatures in an attempt to identify the source of the noise.
When I first purchased the machine I could hear a...
Update:
Brake light is on order.
Everything else is normal and checks out, no obvious cause for the noise....apparently the obnoxious noise and vibration is just normal for the 2016 VK Pro...be for warned!
Is the fuse for the headlight the same as the brakelight...my headlights work fine....do you know what the voltage should be at the taillight?
I will check wiring under handle bar pad..thanks for the tip.
Thanks

Has anyone else on here recently purchased the 2016 VK pro?
My dealer is suggesting the 2016 version VK "could" be noisier because of the change in track angle and addition of extroverts on drive sprocket. I find it hard to believe that Yamaha would sacrifice a change in track angle and make a...
My brake light and running light quit working on my 2016 vk pro 2.
The light is an LED. What voltage should I have at the rear connector before it plugs into the brake light assembly. Should it be a full 12-14 volts?
Thanks so much to anyone that can help.
I am trying to avoid taking to the...
I have a 2016 Vk Pro II and just after 100 km that deafening noise started. The strange thing is that it is not always there but when it surfaces you sure know it. My wife hates the machine because of this noise. Dealer has yet to test drive it as we are waiting for the 800 km service date...
Turns out when they studded the track they put in a tunnel/heat exchange protector and for some reason a welder let go and it then hitting the track. They put in a flat bar protector instead and that noise I gone. The issue now is it is very very loud. To the point my wife will not ride on it...
Thank you. I noticed some free play on Secondary clutch on horizontal movement about 1/4 t 3/8 of Inch that my buddies 2010 VK does not have. Patiently waiting until RL in verner opens Jan 04. This sucks! Thanks again will keep you posted.
I have a brand new 2016 VK Pro with only 66 km on it. Was driving around 40 km when it started to make an awful noise from Drive train. Sounded like studded track was hitting tunnel. Thought maybe ice had built up so I put it in heated shop over night. Checked the track tension and its good...
Anyone else having trouble fitting their Yamaha VK Pro II Cover on their 2016 VK sled. It appears the pockets on the cover that should fit the handle bars are to far forward or the handle bars are angled to far back. Part number SMA-8KW29-00-00. Not impressed with the fit and hoping it just me...
