One of the best options are to install a left hand throttle from Powermadd or a company like that. My buddy severed the tendonds in his third and fourth fingers and didn't want to quit riding while he was injured. We installed the left hand throttle and he was riding within 4 days of the...
I've also broken the linkage that connects the front and rear shock. By the way it shouldn't matter but I weigh 210lbs fully geared up. My dealer said I would have my shock by the end of the week, they gave me and apex to ride last weekend.
Sorry OBR I'm the one who didn't clear that up. My shocks that are on order are the ones for the rear suspension. My fronts seem to be holding up alright, put not the back ones.
Hey it's good to hear it's not just me breaking these things. My shocks are on order, supposed to be in at the end of the week. they were completely destroyed according to the mechanic. Asked if they were just rebuilding them and he said there was nothing to rebuild. It seems funny that I...
Hey Teerex I got to ask, are you at all worried about that little gear when you put the turbo to it? There just doesn't seem like a lot of meat to those gears IMO.
Ya, it's a green and white wire down on the oil tank side. Its a lone wire and not in a harness, and has no male mate to plug into it. That wire need to be grounded to put the computer into diagnostics mode. Also by adjusting the CO you are increasing the fuel basically to the idle circuit...
I broke the front shock mount in mine, never hit anything other then snow, no rocks or anything. Tell him to keep on the dealer about it because they tried to tell me I hit something so it wouldn't be warranty. In the end it was covered though. :jump:
You likely won't mistake the sound. Also if you have some backfiring happening after a long wide open pull is another initial sign. Once it's broke right off its unmistakeable though. It gets really loud.
I put in a set of SLP flowrites, rode 200 miles on sat. definately louder on the intake, increased throttle response, it just felt crisper. I do have to add a little weight to the primary, it seems to be overrevving quite bad now. 12000rpm all day.
Ya, sorry about the wire color, steps were for an apex I forgot the wire color. They discuss the electronics quite a bit on snowest, thats were I got those steps from.
Just a little update, put 250 miles on since I got my sled back last time and guess what, off to the dealer again. My resovoir shock in the rear skid blew out, and we weren't jumping at all this weekend. It was about making miles not air this weekend. My two buddies with there FX's have been...
These are the instructions on how to play with your EFI settings. Instructions are for doing an apex, but same steps apply for the Phazer.
1) Install a wire or paperclip in the pale green wire in the connector on the right side. Its a male connector only with no mate usually behind the...
Hey bluehorn, how's the snow in Canwood, is it still soft or really hard like down here. Yes I did put on the 1.5" track and that made a huge difference in the cooling, I forgot to mention that in my earlier post. As far as fans go Proline in Saskatoon has on I believe because they brought it...
The part of the exhaust that broke is not exposed to snow , it inside the engine bay so that shouldn't be what broke it. More likely is that it broke from the frame flex. Or its just a bad piece. Time will tell if it continues to be a problem.
Re: Phazer OverHeating Problems!
I have to ask how many miles are on your sled. I had the overheating problem when it was new, but by about 700 miles it pretty much dissapeared. It takes a while for that motor to break in. If that doesn't do it put the fan on it, that will take care of it.
There is a titanium chunk of pipe right off the motor that connects to the rest of the pipe. Its only about 6" and is the only seperate piece of the whole exhaust. Mine broke clean off, and they had no reason for why. Time will tell if its fluke or an issue I guess. Starting to look like a...
I got the anti bottom kit from my dealer, would you mind geting me the web address for hygear. I would definately like to contact them, cuz the stock suspension is starting to pi$$ me off.
