Also be aware depending on the software upgrades you have had done to the sled over the years that the stock fuel mapping has changed. The Hurricane map was developed for 2014-2015's. You will have to smooth out some areas that are now richer/leaner from factory in the new software versions.
He sounds like he's taken good care of it. Comes down to preference and perhaps budget at this point. Personally when I buy something used I change everything out whether it looks good or not. May be a waste for some but gives me piece of mind and a baseline to start with.
Do you know the previous owner? If I did and trusted that he used the correct oil I'd likely pass for the coming year with only 184miles on it. If I didn't know what went in it then I'd definitely change.
I'm not really interested in a political discussion. There's enough of that on another forum I'm on. Supply chain info yes. This was started just as a warning documenting my experience trying to buy an accessory to our sport and highlighting Covid's current effect on our economy. Covid did...
Exactly right My dealer had no idea on dates or price. He had an allotment and was taking pre-orders until he was done My fingers are crossed that ordering this early will get me a trailer in 7 months in time for snow. Seems crazy to say that.
I followed up with the sales guy I left a deposit with Tuesday because by Friday I hadn't received the confirmation email and receipt for payment. He apologized and asked me for my name again. After a few minutes of him rustling through paperwork (I could hear it) he said oh yah it's here. He...
Yup. That sounds familiar. Lol. I called about a 2019 on Kijiji within an hour of it being posted this week (and it was selling for the price of last years new ones) and the guy already had a deposit for it.
Well like everything else trailers are going crazy. If you are looking for a new one for next year don't wait too long!
I just put a deposit on a 8x12 hybrid for delivery Sept- Dec'ish. They don't even know the exact price yet because materials like steel, aluminum wood are so volatile...
Klim now defines their warranty as not a lifetime but a "practical lifetime" warranty. Boots and goggles only have 1 year and Helmets 5. Warranty basically not worth anything when you say normal wear and tear will void it (see below). I did buy Keweenaw jacket and bibs this year though -...
Just a guess but I would think there would be different part numbers between models as gearing would be different for say a mountain sled versus a trail so speedo would have to be accomodated in a different version of the flash.
Was talking yesterday with a friend who works for a parts supplier for a major auto manufacturer. He says work is slow and I was shocked. Then he went on to explain the reason. The manufacturer has reduced production and is even cancelling some production shifts next week because they...
Actually I would wade through 100 pages if it meant that I could keep my hands dry warm and comfortable. The three areas that will take all the fun out of the sport the fastest if they can't keep up with the climate you're riding in is head, hands and feet. I've solved the head and the feet now...
Well just as an FYI to potential buyers - FXR came through very well. They made arrangements with Royal to provide me a full refund for the Recon's. The gloves failure is likely a one off but I don't think I'm going to buy them again. I think I'm going to buy the Klim Fusions non-heated...
Should be just fine.
When adding a Hurricane Turbo the intake of course gets changed. The directions are to just vent that tube to atmosphere. I did exactly what you were suggesting -- added some hose to it to extend it down into the belly pan.
Well as luck would have it as soon as I recommend a set of gloves I have a problem with them. Lol. I have the FXR Recon's. I bought them last season. All was good until this weekend. Went on the longest, coldest run of the season and my left hand keep getting cold. Figured out at the end...
