Thank you! That will be a relief is that is the 'answer'. As mentioned, I am completely draining the engine as we speak and will refill with brand new oil tomorrow and give it another try.

After getting my sled (just bought on Tuesday) up and running, I noticed that the primary clutch is not moving or engaging the belt. I'm trading texts with the person who sold it to me and he said, "you probably need to service the clutches". I've never done this before and not finding...

As I continue to try and bring this '06 Apex GT back into good health, I drained the oil out of the oil tank as part of trying to find any oil leak(s) in the tank or hose. Seller said it had a leak somewhere --- may have simply been overflow from him putting new oil filter on. Don't know...

I don't know but I can try and find out. The seller said it had an oil leak "at the bottom of the engine". I inspected as best I could the hose between bottom of oil tank and front/base of engine. Couldn't see any contributing issue(s). Don't know if the PO did any of what you reference...

I bought this sled used from someone in my hometown and he had all the plastic covering, airbox, battery tray, oil tank ...out of the sled. He had a container with all these nuts/bolts/etc. and those 2 little buggers were in with all the other nuts/bolts

Along similar lines, (and hopefully this one is easier), does anyone know what this connector connects to?

They're solid. Do not believe it was one piece that broke into the 2 here. If you look closely, you see wear markings toward one end, symmetrical on both. I think they were stuffed down inside something to hold it or whatever it was connected to. Hmmmmmmmm
