Lots of throttle lag even with a rolling start. Don’t see any to earth shattering there . Sidewinder race it will be over after 60 ft . Lol if you notice they mentioned ski lift again in video = slow . Manufacturers only add ski lift to make you think it’s fast
It won’t be , the team blue srx guys I think are going to be disappointed lol .
Going to be hard for me to order a new sled with no gps built into dash . The current dash does everything adequately, but needs something comparable to the Polaris gps maps . With what Yamaha has on there R-1 road...
You Polaris lovers really need a reality check … in Levi ‘s video at 15:30 guy even says the first 60 feet , 850 is faster than the boost. Tell s me the throttle response isn’t there …lol . If you aren’t there in the first 60ft with the sidewinder, you won’t be at 1000 . Then add in ski lift...
I have ridden 22 vr1 , 22 skidoo 850 with electric shocks & cat 800 , drag race the vr1 is fastest 2 stroke by 2-3 lengths on the skidoo, After riding all the sleds compared to the sidewinder, only thing I would trade from all of them is the Polaris 7s display GPS only . The srx with power...
This is a replay of the Mach z from last year … Yamaha motor Japan choses to run there motor at 200 hp ( easily could be 250 hp ) any other manufacturer is now after 7 years getting some what close to 190-195hp , and going out on a limb to cover warranty on motors . I guess it gives the others...
really only need distilled water to top off , as the factory antifreeze is mixed to read more than -50 f on tester . The less antifreeze mixture the better the cooling .
With the 2023 releases from other manufacturers….nothing from Yamaha ???
Makes you start to wonder if anything really new for the sidewinders . By the looks of some of these pictures looks to be 2 strokes or smaller 4stroke ??
Yes , skidoo did the same thing as Polaris . Put some new body panels on it . Then call it a new sled , Skidoo had a bigger change when they came out with the new suspension 2 years ago
Funny I was going to post this same topic. Bought a Ecu master installed it went no more than 50 miles sensor started reading 0 . Shut off sled reading ok for 20 mins , then started going down to 7.0 and then back up to 15-16 . Unplugged it tried the next day read ok for a 20 mins then went bad...
I don’t think some people posting here are very good at evaluating sleds . Throttle response, seat of the pants feel , heavy steering , etc . I ride almost every weekend… the Arctic cat chassis with the Yamaha motor ( with minor ski pressure adjustments ) is by far the best sled trail or lake...
Center shock mostly bottoms on big hits , running down trail steady speed . The rear mostly bottoms on acceleration & big high speed rollers, hills & dips . Generally. The rear rubber stop blow out.
If the rear torsion are to soft for you ., you will feel under wide open acceleration , the rear...
I ran soft 90% of the time , 10% med. you can toggle on the fly once you figure it out pretty easy . Front suspension works best on that setting. Then I just stiffened rear to stop bottom outs . Rebuilding the rear of rear shock will also help , but didn’t do that to the srx last year.
