I'll second that nomination. After all these years I still love my Apex even though it's not perfect. There's still some things like a better rear suspension that would make me want to hang on to it for several more years to come.

I tend to agree. I think the 25,000 mileage mark was a sales pitch to counter the negative reaction to having to pull cams to adjust clearance. Having a bucket arrangement in there does not change how well the seats will hold up to erosion and consequent valve recession and loss of clearance.

If you want to get the most out of the controller, you really should add the ignition box as well. The first gen Apex's like additional lead at max power.

Sounds like you may be approaching the limits of the charging system. The only thing that may happen with hids on is that you may start dropping voltage. As long as it doesn't drop below about 12.8 you should be fine.
