2015 MTX build, from mild to mildless?

Your pictures aren't showing anymore. Season is looking good over here, 3ft of snow at sea level so far. For some reason my boost gauge shows +2psi from what I used to have. I did an oil change recently, everything done same way as every year. Discovered a lot of ice buildup on the primary...

270 mcexpress turbo upgrade wastegate adjustment

Correct, I meant 93MON octane. True, gas can be hard to come by, I drive 2 hours to pick up a few jerry-cans of 98 - but absolutely worth it :)

270 mcexpress turbo upgrade wastegate adjustment

The kit is designed to run at max 15psi with 91 octane gas. What's the problem with todays gas? Is it better in Europe? Mine has run flawlessly for 6000km/3700miles. Also be sure to check pressure with an analog gauge. My digital Koso X-2 is inaccurate.

Going from M8000 to Viper MTX (What to look out for from 2 stroke to 4 stroke)

Welcome to TY! You've chosen a very reliable machine, but you will get a lot of help on this forum if you run into issues. Most important step: let the sled heat up properly before driving, and drive slowly and let it cool down before hitting kill switch. Keep an eye on the boost gauge, if...

Does the reverse indicator appear? If so, the gear inside the actuator may need to be turned/replaced.

    Vertical steering

I've tried both and I like vertical a lot better, I'm 5'8". Steering feels way more predictable.

    2015 yamaha viper mtx build

That seat idea is the equivalent of a car with pop-up headlights! I swapped to skinz, so maybe I'll give it a try on my original seat soon. Might also install a brakelight to the seat, like sx vipers had.

    Viper Turbo high exhaust temps

Thanks for your insights. Pretty sure I don't have any exhaust leaks. I had to swap the header because it had a big crack in it, also swapped exhaust pipe. The wrap I used couldn't survive because it was cheap, made for 1400F. The hole appeared where the panel is closest to the turbo (the...

Best track for sr viper mtx

I loved the 3" Powerclaw, it's perfect for deep snow. Doesn't grip that well on hardpack though, and it can be a bit pricy. Now I use a Challenger 3X, and to me it seems better. Same if not better in deep powder, more grip on hardpack. Also heard good things about Composit Tracks. Friend of mine...

    Viper Turbo high exhaust temps

High exhaust temps since day one. Right side panel now has a hole in it. Reverse actuator melted stuck. I've added side and rear panel venting, wrapped header from engine to exhaust flange. Today I discovered the wrap was burnt to pieces and the fuel tank had started melting. Exhaust does rumble...

    Update body panels?

You could also do without some of the screws, maybe install hood straps. I only use the 2 screws attaching top to rear panel (on the sides). Would like to know what needs to be done though.

I recommend BRP or cable style, since they're reversible. But any scratcher is better than nothing!

    Slider Replacement

You should be able to install new sliders through drive tooth holes from the rear, just get the track off ground. You can also access that broken screw from the drive tooth holes. If you're struggling, you can loosen the bolts adjusting the rear wheels, this will loosen the track. It is a...

Dremel a straight line on the head and extract with a flat screwdriver. If you fail, you can fall back to welding a nut on it or otherwise.

    2016 Viper Stall on acceleration

Throttle position sensor? Had that issue with my M1100 previously. Does it click when you move the throttle lever? Or maybe exhaust leak, spark plugs?

    Viper build

Ton of info on this site if you're looking to mod it. It all depends on how much money you're willing to spend. There's always maintenance and aftermarket parts to improve durability (like steering rod parts). Let us know your riding conditions? You could try different skis/carbides, add...

    Boot Recommendations

FXR "Backshift" with boa. Supremely warm, very comfortable even for duckfeet, yet compactly built. They lean a bit forward like snowboard boots and have great support, therefore very easy to walk/climb with, plus they're light. Great grip underneath. The trick to getting boa boots to fit is to...
