There are 2 set screws on the bearing your try to remove which have torx heads, take a good light and take a look from the bottom between the sheet metal gaurd and the bearing, loosen em up and it should pull off.

Yes, I did it. Got bars off an 06 apex and I like them better than the stock bars as they are a little beefier. Wires plug right in or solder and shrink wrap them. Just had 2 of my flex joints replaced under warranty. They were both cracked. Glad I got Y.E.S. No it won't harm the engine, you may get some back firing when letting of the throttle but nothing that would hurt the motor.

I have the block off plate and didn't have much luck until I removed the tunnel protectors. I am not running studs though. Night and day difference for me after removing the protectors. But if you have studs leave them in!

Ok here is the best secret I can give you for your grips. Find a set of 2006 Apex bars with the grips still installed from guys selling parts on this site or flea bay. They have to be 06. Swap out your bars on the Nytro and hook up the wires. I forget if they plug right in or you may have to...

Hi, Has anybody had Schmidt Bros do the Primary Clutch overdrive Machining to there clutch on there Nytro? Sounds like an inexpensive way to gain 3-4 MPH if it works. Looking for coments of anyone who has done this and their opinion if it does what they claim or any drawbacks to doing this. Thanks.

In a way it is kind of nice that they didn't come out with a game changer. It keeps my bank account full and the value of my XTX didn't drop out of site. Hell I can put on a 1.75 track and the updated skis and change the graphics and call it a 2013! Way to go Yamaha!

Go ahead and waste your money on the bigger wheels if you want. I am running the stock Billet Yamaha wheels and have worn my slides paper thin with no issues to the straps since I added the extra strap and I do ride as hard as the next guy. The worst that would happen if you are 150 miles away...

The problem I had was not with the track lugs hitting the straps on the bottom it was from the suspension compressing and the straps flexing forward into lugs tearing them to shreds. By adding the extra strap it made it more rigid and not able to rotate on the shaft so easily and fixed my issue...

Mine squeaks when the stabilizer link bushings dry up. Give em a dousche with Graphite spray or any other lubricant. I have actually taken an empty oil bottle out of the garbage at a gas station and got a couple of drops out to lube the bushings. I have done this on several sleds. some guys...
