I put 1600km on mine with virtually no wear. I see just a little in the usual 18 inch in front of last bogey wheel.
I think they are the answer.
However would prefer a wear line

I don't have a set. But I've heard from guys who do that the wear is fantastic. One TY'er says his sled seems to roll out better/longer when you let off the gas (says he uses his brake more coming to stop signs) and says he is seeing around 10% better fuel milage with them. I will have them on my Phazer and Nytro next season.

I have them. Have had them on for 700 miles. No wear at all, no track clip wear. With a stock HP set of hifax, my track clips were turning blue/purple. That's ALOT of heat. With the Dupont's, my track clips are shiny silver. No track clip wear at all.
They are the answer.
From my observations of them (before I put them on), I see a few things going on. 1) The inserted material is something Dupont uses on many products that demand low friction, were high heat is present. Read up on it.
I don't feel think that material is as hard as you think. I poked my jackknife at it, and it didn't seam THAT hard. What I feel is the material simply reduces friction to the point were it doesn't wear. Like I said, track clips were blue/purple with stock hifax. 2) There are two tiny holes (1/16 or so) in each of the Dupont inserts. I can't help but think water goes down through the holes, right onto the track clips.
Buy em if you can find them. Rip off your old set. Clean the rails nice and remove any/all burrs or imperfections. Put the new set on, and enjoy your sled. You won't be changing those Dupont's any time soon.

Might get a set next year, I've been too lazy to change my graphite wide slides out that have been just short of the wear marks for 1500 miles now! glad I didn't panic like most and change them at 500 miles like most people do!

I just bought a pair yesterday. In combination with the X wheel. They should last me for a long time.

Are the Dupont slides compatible with a track that isn't fully clipped?

do you telling me what the costs has been for these dupont sliders
Right now I have the stock ripsaw that is closed every third. with no studs I run a loose track but am thinking of studding this summer witch means I'll have to tighten the track up. with every third closed did I read that these wont work and would be a waste of money?
