What would cause uneven slide wear?

uneven track tension or broken wheel or suspension arm. i had the same problem on an 07 phazer fx and it was track tension being way off.

    excell wheel kit durability

if change inners and outers, you wont put any more stress on the rails - also change out your hyfax at the time you put the wheels on.

    Snow Flap Bracket Cracking

i did like chief did - my sons 06 nytro was breaking the rear mount over and over - i got a little thicker piece of aluminum and just fabbed one out of thicker stock - i put a little more pitch on it so the flap stuck out further and away from the track to avoid that pesky running over it in...

    2012 Whining

i see all the whining about the "new" lineup has started. kind of hate this time of year - not sure what people expect. no one is never happy - i remember all the crying when the new nytro came out. looking at sled sales as a percentage of the total sales, i have to wonder why we would...

anyone had an electric shield melt?

i run a ckx - mine doesn't get hot enough to melt butter, but it doesn't fog up either.

anyone had an electric shield melt?

i've fried the cords, never the shield. i did have one that was on a cheap helmet that would melt snow, ice and freezing rain it was so hot - the higher end ones i'm running now are not as hot.

    My Review 2007 Phazer FX

you have to make sure your front shocks are pretty stiff to carry the weight of the motor and the rider. i had luck pulling the limiter in one hole and putting some good preload on the center shock. an ulmer clutch kit will reduce the engine braking, and yes the stock track is junk - i only...

    Track blow out big damage

go 136, you'll never go back - everyone i ride with is 136 to 144 - my phazer was a different machine with a 136.

Man o man, i cant win...

if i had new idlers go out, i'd be asking someone to replace them after 3 weeks - i dont take care of my wheels in sleds at all and i've only lost two over the years - one came off on the trail and the other one froze up inside the track - i'd make sure your next set have been properly greased...

    NYTRO with 10,000 miles

i think with that many miles, the engine is the least of your concerns - bearings, wheels, track, gears, drive chain, clutch bushings and on and on and on. a yamaha 4 stroke will outlast the chassis - just like a cummins will outlast the dodge it's put in. i think for $5-6000 you can probably...

Top End On Your Phazer ?

78-80 on my 136 - my 07fx would show 96 until i had the cold start and then i never saw more than about 88 on it.

    Elmers Racing clutch?

this is why i buy direct from elmers.

    Elmers Racing clutch?

hard to say - the weights look like ulmers - i think they machine the part number off the stock weights (i would do the same) - looks like it was never installed - not sure what the black bushing is for - and it looks like you got a wire nut as a bonus as well. this post will be gone soon with...

    Speedometer Problem

make sure the gear on the end of the shaft is tight - i've seen the dealer not put it back on or tighten it quite a few times.

07 Yamaha Phazer (holy crap I need help)

front shocks on the phazer (07) have to have quite a bit of preload on them or the sled will do that - i wrecked my 07 after i was trying to soften the front end up, the shocks will give out low in the stroke if you dont have enough preload. you also have to preload your center shock as well.
