    Apex sputter/stall hot start

I agree. I had the same symptoms on my '06 Apex and that was the problem.

Which Sled Nytro vs SR Viper

Viper for sure. And the Cat version would be fine as well. You can research any issues or things to watch out for here. Good luck on your search.

    Track Longevity

2017 LTX LE studded (3 per bar-combo of doubles and singles on inside only.) Sno studs brand. Has treated me ok thus far. (since brand new.) I had never tried doubles until this sled. The only issue is if one's going to tear out, it's going to be a bigger chunk of track vs if it were just...

    Battery of choice for Viper?

Just called local dealer. Yuasa is $160 (filled and ready to go.) Ugh. Batteries plus has the following: https://www.batteriesplus.com/productdetails/battery/snowmobile/yamaha/srviper-l=tx-se/1050cc/2015/cyla20hbsxta...

Need help to choose between Viper model

We have a '17 Sidewinder LTX LE (shocks w/Kashima coat) and a '15 Viper LTX SE (basic fox floats). I have to say after riding the Viper last weekend, I didn't notice a major difference in ride. I actually thought it did a great job on the not so smooth sections. Granted most of the trails...

    Battery of choice for Viper?

Thanks for the responses. I see there's quite a variation in prices for the variety of batteries out there. Hard to justify paying over $100 more for one of the more expensive ones, unless it's lasting years longer? "If you do go this route, you will need to add acid, " srx700, did you buy...

    Battery of choice for Viper?

Any input on good batteries for 2015 Viper LTX? Current one is subpar and doesn't have the cold cranking amps needed. Despite keeping it on tender, it is a bear to start first time of the day. Usually is fine after riding for awhile and restarting, but still may take a couple attempts...

Top end MPH on 17 SW.

Yamaha is putting in a 35/39 as helix from the factory now? I have a '17 and believe the stock was a straight 35. When these things first came out one of the first recommendations were to go to a 35/39. I was originally told one of the best clutch set ups was this helix with Thunder Products...

    Decals

Had an '09 Vector that one side ended up missing. Never saw it happen and didn't realize it was gone after it happened. That surface definitely invites poor adhesion.

    2021 sidewinder srx le

Did you get quotes for a trade in yet? Did you blue book your sled, look for comparable sleds for sale in classifieds, marketplace, Craig's list, this website, other sled websites, etc? Hard to decide if you don't have all of the info. I don't have EPS on my sled, but wish I did. Hear it is...

    Viper voltage issue

Thanks for the info. That is good to know real world info/numbers and be able to compare. It does reinforce the fact that I definitely have a charging issue with mine.

    Viper voltage issue

Sorry, if this has been addressed somewhere before, but I looked at numerous older threads without a solid answer. Here's the story. 2015 Viper LTX-SE. Was at about 70 miles last Sat when got P0562 (low voltage) code. Apparently, the headlights were more dim than normal too. Engine also was...

    Viper or sidewinder

Cat skis are definitely an upgrade. Viper shocks are the stock ones (Fox floats.) Still haven't quite figured out the set up yet, but that's definitely not my forte.

    Viper or sidewinder

I have both. a '15 Viper LTX SE and a '17 Sidewinder LTX LE. I can't add much that's already been said. The Viper has a lot of low end grunt and the SW is great top end (with lots of arm pull.) Both seem mostly the same, other than the power really. The skis on both suck. I opted for Cat...

    Pilot 6.9 options

I also would say Cat skis are an option. Put them on the gf's Viper with a set of slim jims. Better than the junk stockers. Will be doing it to my Winder eventually as well. I found brand new takes offs in the online classifieds.

    Squeaking Front end ???

I'm still using Fluid Film as my go to. Depending on conditions, it may last one ride or more before the squeak returns.
