    3’’ Sandale Hyperflow Exhaust

I run it. Sounds awesome to me. I wouldn't change it. Much quieter than the 3" Heartbreaker. I wouldn't change it, personally. Hurricane 270R and CAI. It's not stock but stock sucks.

    XS 825 Belt

No Studs, Backcountry 1.75. Clutching from Ron Ward. His own Helix Design. All Dalton stuff Black/Orange in Secondary. I forget specifically weight and Spring in Primary. I have it written down. Also running float on Secondary and Turbo Dynamics rollers in Secondary.

    Ltx se blowing belts

It's an excellent corner to corner setup. Top end is not the best but acceleration is incredible especially with the 1.75" Backcountry track.

    Ltx se blowing belts

I currently have 2000 miles or so on a Timken XS 825. It's still good. Hurricane 270 with 3"Sandale. I have clutching from Ron Ward. Its Dalton based but he designs his own Secondary Helix. My clutches stay pretty cool. My alignment is within spec.

Barn of Parts Driveshaft Saver....Bearing Lock

I picked up a Drive Saver as well. My dealer had ordered in a couple. I wonder if there is a connection between this bearing problem and the upper gear bushing problem? I have had gear changed three times under warranty.

Barn of Parts Driveshaft Saver....Bearing Lock

Dealer decided to check my Driveshaft for wear. Good thing they did as seen from photo's. Almost worn through the hollow shaft. Ruined brake rotor from movement. End of drive shaft was rubbing also. They had ordered a couple of the driveshaft savers. I bought one from them and I am going...

    SIDEWINDER UPPER GEAR FAILURE; AGAIN!

Here are a few pics of my last gear with 1500 miles on it. Bushing is just about totally gone. What isn't easily seen is that bushing actually spun inside gear. Oiling holes no longer align. Service manager told me that last year they replaced 7 gears, this year 84! Yamaha, we have a problem.

    SIDEWINDER UPPER GEAR FAILURE; AGAIN!

Some are failing and some are not. :dunno: I wish I knew why. Dealer also wishes they knew why. All winter I was worried about getting towed home again. That's no fun.

    SIDEWINDER UPPER GEAR FAILURE; AGAIN!

:o| :o| :o| Anger, despair, embarrassment. Natural feelings when getting towed home, AGAIN. Another upper gear failure. First one, no holes, was at 2200 miles. Second one today, with holes, 1500 miles. My friend with 850 XRS is getting tired of towing me home and I am sick of getting...

    Slipping out of gear.

That what is, exactly what was with mine. I had a driveline vibration on mine and I dismissed it as being the Backcountry track. After changing gear, the vibration is gone. I was feeling it in the handlebars.

    Slipping out of gear.

The exact same thing happened to me. My upper gear bushing wore so bad and was flopping around that it appears to have knocked off the circ clip on the jackshaft.

    Fuel mileage with tune

270 Hurricane, 3" Sandale Hyperflow. I am about 2 MPG better on average than stock. I run with a friend with sn 850 XRS. He is 100lbs lighter. I am 2 liters less on fill ups and I run a Backcountry track. Very pleased.

    Pilot 6.9 ski's installed

You should be able to lighten your steering by stiffening your front skid shock and softening your rear skid spring. This should give you transfer, which should be no trouble on an un-coupled suspension. Some recommend softening the front ski springs. I tried this and hated it. I am the...
