Awesome! They fit tight into the slot but there's no drilling, cutting or filling needed. It's just a tight spot in general to work in to get the wires on and tighten the posts in place.
Make sure you run the wiring high and behind the harness near the reverse panel so that the panel can go...
Yeah, I was hoping for a better year when the cold came in November but it just keeps fluctuating and we keep having less and less snow. It's becoming very disappointing. I have the cottage in Québec which is where my sled is but it's not any better there either....
With winter being a very short season here (especially in most recent years) I'm often needing to keep my sled on the trickle charger to keep the battery topped up. I was fed up with having to pull off/ reinstall the side panel every time I use my sled so I decided to add some charging/boosting...
I ended up getting a press lol made the swap today and it was pretty satisfying pressing the new ones in.
Just have to clean the rust of the collars that sit on each end before installing them.
I'm with you on that one! Polaris makes a lot of junk products..
I would most likely go over to Arctic Cat since they rock Yamaha engines or go over to BRP since they're Canadian but that won't be for a long while...
I haven't driven in any snirt but the previous owner probably did. I wish I would have done more research before buying this particular sled and gone over it better. it's needed so much work.
Yeah they are pretty worn and they only have 24,000 km's on em... I bought the sled with 23,000 km's on it.
I took a few measurements and wrote them all down. Ill make sure to check the track.
I bought new cogs so I won't be using these again.
Thank you, good to know. My cogs wore out a little strangely so I need to see what caused it.
I haven't yet, I'm going to do then myself. I'm attempting to press the old ones out today if I'm successful, I do not have a press so I'm going to Jimmy-rig one.
I'm back with a small update and correction. I referred to the incorrect bearing in my post. It is actually the lower back case bearing (93306-205A9) that I had removed with only one side having a seal. The bearing I received came in a genuine yamaha box with the part bunker above, the bearing...
I decided to change my cogs while I have everything apart due to replacing all of the bearings on the drive shafts and chain case.
I noticed that there's a bit of side to side freeplay when you line up the cogs/driveshaft within the track. Is that normal or should there be no play at all?
Thanks
That is the part I received (93306-20532-00), I'll have to take a look over the weekend at what type of bearing was removed, the one I removed had an open end and one sealed end which faced the back side of the cover.
So I don't know what happened there but the bearing was the same size and...
It's possible but i did order a genuine Yamaha part from a local Yamaha dealer using the parts diagram from my sled.
I'll definitely take a look at removing that bearing seal, i also prefer to have things the same way they came out.
I'm actually surprised that oil doesn't get to all bearings, you would think it would be beneficial.
I also received a bearing that had seals on both sides for the top of the front cover. The bearing I removed only had a seal on one side, so I'm not sure if this is a revision or simply the...
Thanks for the reply, I'll have to take a look when I go back up to the cottage this weekend, there's probably witness marks that I also didn't notice... I'll keep this thread up to date over the weekend.
Good to know! Thank you for the insight. I imagine that they don't sit fully against the...
I'm currently in the process of changing the bearings and seals on my chaincase and cannot recall how deep the seals sat. I completely forgot to pay attention to the depth that the original ones were sitting since I just assumed that they bottomed out against a lip of some sort.
Would anyone...
