-20 I'll stay inside thanks...
The way the start system works is, it'll crank until
there is good oil pressure, then it will fire, problem is
at cold temps it may not trigger the pressure switch
early enough or at all.
But the cold start update, allows for ignition at a lower
oil pressure,
I can tell you that the stock wheels aren't the best on
the phazers I had a 95 XCR with wheels that would
spin for like 45 seconds on their own, vs like 5-10 seconds
in the yammy ones, I never replaced them, but seems like
they should have been better than that.
at 10,000 my mtn did just fine, as was stated earlier
in deep pow it will not climb very well.
but to say its a dog I think is a little rough.
the mtn lite will do 60 just fine at 10,000
which usually is too fast anyway for the mountains.
.040 Aluminum, just go to your local hardware store
and pick up a piece, some places will cut to fit.
Just cover the rear hole
I think mine ran me about $12 with rivots.
Yeah you'll want scratchers for sure, and possibly even a shorter lug...
But I think it would be a great cross-over.
The new nytro XTX is a 144, just like mtn lite..
and its supposed to be a crossover.
I run the stock mtn skis with a 6 inch bergstrom carbide, shimmed 1/4 on rear of rubber, and easily run 60mph on hard pack trails with no darting.
Guys really should try shimming, before completely giving
up on the stock skis.
at 300lbs + gear I would think if money isn't an issue
I'd go for a Nytro or a Turbo Phazer saw an almost new T'phazer or SC'Phazer for $7000
Otherwise for the good bad and ugly
Good: No complaints really, it goes where I expect it would
Bad: Snow build up(easily remedied) on...
Added the same on my Phazer, worked nicely
I think the shims do most of the fixing, but the plastic "pads" work well too
help with lateral grip(almost like a trihull boat)
I think our running boards are very strong, even when I cut
mine out for the better boards, I pushed on the cut out(prior to
installing the boards) side and the still unaltered side, and
there was no noticable difference.
