After reading this fourum, I feel I need to jump in here with some comments on the 2013 XTX. I just got home from a weekend trip to MI Upper Penninsula, 360 mile weekend, 420 total miles on my 2013 XTX 1.75. I did notice the pushing in the corners and mine does not turn well in general. I...
I want to try to trade for $6,000.00. We'll see what happens I am still in negotiations with my dealer. I do want the 4 year warrenty or longer if I can get it, also working on getting some add ons at his cost.
Getting close here on trading in my Attak for 2013 XTX. I have a few questions: Has anyone ran that 1.75 lug track on trails? How would it hold up? Would the lugs flex too much and bend or break lugs?
Second question: I really think I would need a trail tank, how much $$ are they and...
We tried two new relays, they still just clicked so it can hardly be that. Kill switch was pulled up, key on. Does anyone have some step by step instructions with a few pictures on getting that starter out?
Thanks
Mainly an assumption, on the starter rebuild. Try to start the sled with a screw driver and we got nothing. Tried the same on another 09 nytro and got it to start. It just clicked when you try to start it, even under full battery power
My Buddys got an 08 Nytro that the starter needs a rebuild. Looking for some advise on getting the old one out and the rebuild back in with ease and few problems.
Any one pull one of these out?
Has anyone had a rail crack and if so, have you fixed it and how long did it last? I have a hairline fracture just underneath a bolt in about the middle of one of my rails and noticed it after my last ride. 6200 miles total on the rail.
I painted the inside of the windshild. I've been painting them black for years, back to the SX days with the smaller windshields; never had a problem until I did this blue one. I bought the 2010 model Apex LTX GT windshield with the blue and white skirting, then painted the clear plastic blue...
Why wont they make a blue windscreen? I have a small fourtune in buying, painting, and maintaining mine. I have two coats of Yamaha blue and two coats of clear on there and I still get ice chips knocking paint off. My vote is for a medium height blue windshield.
I think they are 07 Apex Mountain handlebars, they are about 2 inches or 3 higher. It makes some difference but not a whole lot. Easier to ride while standing up.
Just put mountain bars on my 06 Attak, took it for a ride last night and my throttle was sticking and I got code 84. I repositioned the throttle but still got the code. I'm wondering, is there enough throttle cable (there has to be) and could I run it through the loop in my handlebars?
Any...
Thanks for the advise guys, I think I will tear down and fix the problem. Did you guys just replace the Y pipe with a stainless pipe for peace of mind or only if it was cracked??
Not to horn in here, I believe this is relevant to the post. If anyone else is like me, smoking from steering column and smelling gas, how long can you run one like this? Could I get through the season or should a guy get the heat on and get started?
Uh - Oh, not sounding good here guys. On my last ride I smelled gas and I had smoke or steam rising from my stearing column. No back firing though, 5300 miles.
The bottom two zerks in my suspension toward the back top and bottom wont take grease. I've tried heating them with a propane torch but it didn't help. They took grease at the beginning of the year. Anyone have any tricks or advise or do I have to tear it apart?
I still want to know where people are running that Hauck controller. Here is where I set mine after calling Hauck:
G - 4
R - 3
Y - 3
RB - 1
RY - 1
440 miles, it ran really well but I only got around 11 mpg. One time while messing around with the settings, I got 19.2 mpg in 60 miles of...
I just got home last night from a 2.5 day MI UP ride. 440 miles and my buddy's Nitro (stock) was always at least .5 gallon better than my Attak riding aggressive trails and FAST strait aways. I think I only got 11.5 or 12 mpg at the best.
She used to do better than that, I'm creaping up on...
