How do you like the skis? Seems most people like the Tuner skis, but noticed you mentioned you'd look for new skis. Still considering this?

With the suspension finally tuned right, I'm very satisfied with skis. With the conditions way below par, I haven't really been able to get much higher speed riding in, but as of now, I have no complaints with my setup, and don't think I'll look to change anything structurally. Perhaps some style mods and an exhause and CAI.
One other note is that beyond the first run, I haven't had any temperature issues either. So I guess, as was suggested, that was just a case of a new engine running warmer than normal.

After reading this fourum, I feel I need to jump in here with some comments on the 2013 XTX. I just got home from a weekend trip to MI Upper Penninsula, 360 mile weekend, 420 total miles on my 2013 XTX 1.75. I did notice the pushing in the corners and mine does not turn well in general. I will try the front shock setting mentioned earlier to try to correct the pushing. My main concern was that 93 mph is all she had in those long central UP strait aways. It has been a long time since I've owned a sled that would not go at least 100 mph. I had good power up to 75 mph and the sled seemed to hit a wall. Very slow climb to 90.
The only mod I have is Ulmer Stage II clutching. I am wondering if it could be the wrong clutch set up (I do have a call in to Ulmers)? I am considering gearing up some and maybe a set of 10EKs?? Any suggestions appreciated I would like to see 110 mph on a few mile run on hard pack, maybe I'm dreaming but I ride with some Nytro RTXs and they do 103 max MPH.
I do like the 1.75 lug track, it really hooks up on the trail and does well in the powder too. The ride and handeling were pretty good and almost better when standing. I think this will be a good sled but it really needs some adjustments. The cat turbos and polaris assaults I rode with really put me to shame, this time.

I also noticed the push... I have the fox evols on the front and have them at 65psi and I am a healthy 250lbs with gear .... Don't forget body English on this beast
Think when I get this died in it will be a great sled
As for top end I was seein the same thing maybe a little less 90mph but not on hard pack trails and I am stock clutch set up

Not that you can't go 100mph with a 1.75......but I would be thinking twice about it. Paddles are not designed for 100mph and this includes 1.75's. I towed a buddy's 1.75 Renegade after he tried a 10 mile high speed assault on our infamous "Piston Alley". Tore the edge of the track off and most of the lugs on one side. Track had about 3000 miles on it.
I have Ulmer's stage 1 on my MTX (22/40 sea level) and it pulls like a freight train up to about 85-90 and its done... and with a 2.25 lug on there, believe me, it won't see these speeds very often.

x2 to everything Mike said. if you are looking for high speed, a x-over w/ a paddle track isn't what you're going to enjoy. This sled is a "best of both worlds" sled, giving you hard pack turning/comfort that a 153/162 doesn't have, and the powder play that a 128 can't touch. Longer track, taller lugs = lower top speed for sure. And everything Mike said about safety of running at high speeds for long runs.

X3 for what mike said! Speed isn't everything the cross over is made for getting off trail as well. If all you want is speed an Apex is the sled for you. the xtx will pull hard to 80-90, step back and think 95% of the time thats all you need. I've had both and the Nytro is a much better off trail big bump sled. I'm guessing since you bought a 1.75" XTX thats what your main goal was not speed
