Pol is cutting way back and limiting dealers. The VR1 850 turbo will be a very rare bird next year. For 22 grand plus tax. Would feel quite a bit better withe the 998 myself.
Very much afraid that all varieties of Sidewinders and TCats will be sold out in a weeks time after reveal. Don't snooze or you won't even be on the list!!
That came out a little wrong. XCR 850 s are not slow. They move right along and the owner of it loves his. But I would rather have my RTX. To each his own.
Have blown two belts in 4000 miles. Stock belts. Both times I could feel them about to go so I cut throttle but there was still shrapnel everywhere. The BOP guard is cheap insurance as far as I am concerned. Plus you might be done riding for the year if it took out a big chunk of lower pan. I...
Get the belt guard / belly pan saver from BOP. If you ever did blow a belt and take out that plastic God only knows when you would find a replacement piece. I have the exact same sled and my top bushing was toast at 3000 miles. I think a person should always have a new one ready to go. Also use...
If the customer puts enough studs in the track to get some use out of the anti-lag the thing isn't going to turn without slowing down and letting the front end transfer down. They already don't turn that well. Plus the added weight to the track will scrub top end. You really can't have it both ways.
I live about 65 miles away from Thief River Falls. Roseau is about the same distance to the east of me. In 2017 I went to TRF the day they built my Sidewinder just to watch the process from start to finish. Interesting fact - the first thing attached to the chassis is the snowflap. There are a...
They are all junk. A really stupid way to spend money. That said I have owned and ridden all colors. I have been doing this for a very long time. I consider the known problems with the Sidewinders to be trivial. I don't mind spending a little time wrenching. It is actually kind of fun. If you...
They don't build the sleds by the dates they are ordered. They build one model at a time for a few days and then they switch to another model. if you ordered an SRX on the first day of the snow check program you aren't going to get it any sooner than the guy that ordered one on the last day of...
It sounds to me like the oil is motor oil. He stated his oil in his oil tank resouvair went down. If it were mine I would first try to clean up the oil on the clutch side as best I could. Then I would take off the bottom panel and be absolutely certain it is not leaking from around the filter or...
You don't want to fill the oil up to the top mark when you change oil. It will blow it out. I fill mine to the bottom mark. When the sled gets up to normal operating temp the level stays between the marks.
Figured it out. When I was putting a little bit of grease on the reverse extension I got some grease on the eye thing on the rack. The sliding rack was not communicating with the sensor. Cleaned it up and all is well.
