Thanks guys for that info! Do you know if it is safe on the dalton adjustable weights to loctight the set screws in the heel with the tips left open? I would try to keep them all exactly the same between the 3 weights. Thanks again
I am wondering if you guys have any links or info on examples of clutching for more of a visual learning? I have a turbo nytro making around 200-210 hp. In lower snow conditions from a dig the sled shoots up to 9200-9300 and after a second settles down to 8700. I can adjust this scenario up...
I have not tried other springs. I feel like the back of the sled has often returned up ok. The front shock collapses more and more as a day goes on. the limiter straps end up with a lot of slack even when there is no weight on the sled. Then it feels like small bumps can bottom the front...
Over the years I have had my shocks rebuilt and revalved in hopes to fix the front track shock sag after a day of riding. After that didnt fix it I put in the Star suspension kit, that helped a little but still had the sag. I was wondering if there is a better shock/spring option to fix this...
I sucked all the fuel out that i could and added fresh fuel. It did make a difference so thank you! It will now fire much quicker, it will still die once or twice when cold but at least it is starting when cold. Second or third time it stays running and doesnt have a miss.
At the beginning of the season the sled maybe had 3 gal of gas in it from last year. I added fresh until full. Because lack of snow I only rode it for 25 miles or so. I guess it is worth a shot to suck the fuel out and put in some fresh to see if changes anything.
Hello Guys, I am looking for ideas on what to look for. Last year my nytro started fine all the time. At the beginning of this winter I went to start it and it turns over at about 250 to 280 rpm but doesnt want to fire. I believe you can smell a hint of gas after it cranks a bit. After...
I appreciate this question as Im unsure what I want next. Buy a new sidewinder before you cant get one, make a switch to polaris or keep the nytro going. I have been on a 2009 yamaha nytro with a ulmer turbo. I love the power it has so I am concerned i wont be happy with less. Im curious on...
On the Totally Yamaha facebook website they have a video of a couple guys that act and talk funny. Pretty humorous, they roll a new sidewinder down a hill a couple times and they make a comment on it is a good thing that the sidewinder has a new roll over valve system otherwise it would look...
I don't believe they are Stainless, but don't remember for sure. I know the exhaust housing bolts on mine are an allen wrench style grade 8 bolt from the auto store. I bent my last set from coming loose and banging around. If nothing else works I have seen people buy a new set and drill a...
The arrow piece has to be up against something for them to work. There is no nut, just a slot for the C clip. I had the exact same problem you are dealing with. How is your exhaust mounted? If your mounting points don't flex enough then it will loosen the bolts up on the housing so it can...
mysledblows I really get a kick out of it when people run me down at a gas station or restaurant and tell me I broke my suspension because I'm dragging some cable things. LOL Ice scratchers people. I can't wait for the looks this year with the K&N sticking through the hood!
I have a mountain sled so 100mph lake runs don't go over so well. That is really the only reason I wondered about riding style. I will be checking my schedule. Thanks
