seems strange that this is even happening, I get the same symptoms as sasquatch has described. the plastic tips are definitely worn some and it seems to rub hard and can cause the sled to almost be jammed up on the right type of mogul. this is should almost be a safety issue that should be...
2011 apex xtx, having a rubbing issue with the rail tips contacting the drive sprockets. wondering if anyone has any ideals on why this could be happening. when the suspension is collapsed are your tips close to sprockets? I have the drive shaft out now and there is no bearing wear thinking...
an easy way to check is to remove the 2 bolts that hold the servo motor, then remove the 2 philips screws on the plastic cover. You can then cycle your key to see that both the cables keep tention when the motor rotates. This would indicate that the end of the cables are still attached to the...
there are two different part numbers for the cables as mentioned in the above post. They are shown as cable 1 and cable 2 and they are both around $45 each canadian. One is a little longer than the other. Very simple to change out and adjust if you watch the video in the FAQ section.
so I am not alone. I ordered the two cables as well from a dealer on the way to my destination and will change them on the fly prior to riding. I cant believe all the dealers I called in my moment of panic said they have never had one fail. My last resort if for some reason I don't get them will...
Broke my exup cable on my 2011 apex doing the valve adjustment procedure. The cable was really brittle at the valve end and snapped flush with the end boss. When I began the calibration sequence the servo motor pulled the valve fully clockwise and then heard a snap. I had not done any...
I got the yamaheater for the grips as well as the thumb boost for my 11 apex. The thumb doesn't seem to get hot like the grips. I can barely feel the heat in the deep cold. The grips are night and day...THEY WORK GREAT. -34C and my hands were warm in gloves yesterday. Just wondering if you guys...
its definitely not an excell problem, I have lost factory wheels in the past as well because of studs. like it was mentioned earlier you cant run studs in the centre or your front shock will wear out due to studs making contact with the bottom of the shock. so that leaves us not much real estate...
I was thinking of running strictly billet aluminum wheels with no rubber on them, do you still think that they would not hold up. the wheels that disintegrated for me were also the front ones by the shock.
I have a 2011 apex xtx that is studded and was running excel wheels in the skid. Within 1000 km s I find out that the inner idler wheels have disintegrated because of the studs. I was thinking I would try a billet type wheel because rubber will simply not last. anyone know a good place to buy...
great info aja thanks a lot. you are right on the cats snapping belts in two, i've seen/heard that happen to a few cat guys. one buddy blew a hole in 2 panels on his brand new 1100 turbo. the ballooning effect happens on deceleration and does hit the guard as mentioned. I noticed that on my 2011...
I have used this diagram before and I cant seem to find it, I tried using google to reference this site because the search function sometimes is not very efficient. please try your luck if you have a minute. My problem is right now is that I blow the 10 amp fuse for the fuel injection so trying...
