Yeah the track seemed to stretch more than normal, I had to tighten as well not to ratchet. Clutching seemed to work fine, higher rpm, power is always there. Going back to stock. I never drove it a mile with stock springs, weights and helix. Should be a new ride after zx2 and new track and...
My suspension is hooped on my 40th, thinking of just getting a new ZX2 AD Boivin with a new track. Can it be electronically controlled or do you have to manually adjust it. Kind of got used to pressing a button to adjust it on the fly. Any other pros and cons would be appreciated as well. Thx.
Lake was rough but soft wet snow, bare in spots, +10 celsius, I was given er, I admit but I always ride that speed cause the machine can take it imo (maybe change my mind on that a bit). I bought it to giver. Only 1 or 2 scratches on tank cover from handlebar bent up against it. I...
4700 miles (original) I just tightened it up too yesterday morning, it stretched a lot over the past 5 seasons, studded from 0 miles as well. I am in the hunt for 1.5 - 1.75 non studded now.
Once I get the machine home, (it is 12 miles away out on lake still) I guess I should expect some extra damage eh, drive shaft, suspension rails look twisted, maybe the cooler up front. Anyone that has had this happen can chirp in about other damage associated with this. I am sore now, feeling...
I put my Apex up for sale this winter and most people tried to lowball me. Selling price started at $9000.00 and even went as low as $7600.00 and still people would offer around $5600-6000. I just got home from work after a month gone. Went for a rip last night in jeans and a spring jacket...
I leave the battery tray in...I just loosen it, push some wires out of the way and I'm able to slide my hand between tray and front of motor, filter comes off easy by hand.
It takes less time if you don't take out battery tray...just loosen it so you can get your hand in there to take off filter...it's tight but it can be done.
My front shocks twist as well, quite a bit compared to my friends 07 Apex RTX with Fox Floats...I suspect the rubber bushing is played out. I can turn them about 1/8th of a turn.
