No its perfectly fine. I agree with you about the turbo slug weight farther out will indeed pinch the belt more. Also I have about 14 dalton helixes that I bought for testing. And with the pb-80 the higher initial start of helix the less it slipped in the primary. I tried a 33/35 helix with...
Well I have been testing the pb-80 for a year now have about a thousand miles on it and I love it. Did some testing against the yamaha primary and the pb-80 was faster.
Yamaha primary setup.
XS 825 Belt
HH weights
39/33 Helix
Orange primary spring
Orange secondary spring set at 3/1
Pulled...
So far so good. Got it dialed pretty much in and it runs strong. Tewco Industry in Franklin Wisconsin is a dealer for cvtech. I am pretty sure he has them in stock. Pm me if need more info.
Anybody with a turbo dynamics gps guage can you explain where to splice the wires into. The directions are a little hard to understand . Thanks for any help.
All I can say is Mike and Dan are correct. Took minr in for a little warranty work and figured I would have them do the first oil change. They put in 0-40 synthetic. Well went home and took out following weekend and noticed it didn't seem to pull the same rpms and just seemed slower. At first...
There are no rubber pucks. They're made of some type of composite plastic material. I don't think they where out very fast. Had them on my 1200 Doo and had over 3000 miles and we're still fine.
Dan you should be able to to get everything through Wowchad on this site. He is dealer for cvtech in WI. He should be able to to ship what you need in the US
Well we are leaving for a cruise on saturday and the snow will be gone upon return. So I ran a couple runs. The back field had excellent hardpack for about 800-900 ft run. Running upnorth this past weekend it seemed like it liked to pull 8850-8900 on top to get mph. The 43/33 pulled about 8800...
Just got back from a little trip to northern WI. I didnt put alot of miles on about 180. Ran the pb-80 for the entire time. It worked great. Ran it with a 43/33 dalton black/orange wrapped at 6/1. In front ran 500/1300 with 106 grams of weight. With this helix it wasn't quite as snappy as the...
Its a puller that is made for the pb-80 on the winder. The doo puller is close to it but is a little. different. You can order through cvtech in canada.
Well was supposed to head up to northern WI this weekend but a winter storm coming would be no good riding. Down in southern WI are trails were still open tonight for the last day. Perfect conditions very hard. I am still testing on the PB-80. We went out to supper and put on 40 miles. The more...
Took out the sled today wanted to fine tune the HH setup further and also wanted to fine tune the pb-80 more. A lot better conditions today than last week. Temps were about 20 and had plenty of snow to watch rpms on a little longer run. Trails were closed but had a nice hardpack trail on my land...
The secondary is not the problem with the PB-80 it doesn't grab the belt hard enough down low. I tested with lower angle helixes and more weight in primary and it made it hotter and also stiffer secondary spring made it hotter. The higher I went with the helix angle and less secondary spring the...
The PB-80 does not grip the belt down low as good. You can't add weight just to increase grip at low end. If you add weight it effects the whole shift. And I am just barely pulling the rpms needed right now. On my doo 1200 the primary was always hot but the belt lasted fine. This is stock tune...
Well found a little snow along the treeline. Temps were good mid teens and snow was very hard. Current setup is 500/1300 primary 106 grams per puck. Secondary setup is 41/35 with dalton BO wrapped at 6/1. This setup is very good pulls very hard with really good throttle response. I was only able...
Well needless to say mother nature screwed us over again in southern WI. Saturday did some testing on the pb-80 and the green sno-pro and dalton white secondary spring. Conditions were not the greatest upper 30's and soft snow on the trails but had to get it done because trails were closing...
