I bought some 19/42 reverse gearing from Ulmers and you're supposed to be able to use the stock 68link chain with this gearing but i can't get to fit the chain is way too tight. Any one have this problem. if i can't get it to fit i'm thinking of sending it back and going 18/40 or trying a 70...
i'm bought some 19/42 gears and i can't them to fit cause the chain is way too tight. I'm trying to use the OEM 68link chain. did anyone else have this problem or should i try a 70 link chain.
i would have done that same thing if i hadn't put in huge whole in the front tunnel cooler to begin with. I may still have to get rid of the front radiator just becasue i'm adding so much cooling with the double bypass cooler and running board coolers. won't know till i get to ride.
here is a link of my nytro build with pics of the radiator delete. take a look. any opinions are grateful. http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/show ... p?t=228552
how do you post pics on this forum? it's not the main radiator but the front tunnel cooler delete and hoses run from theer tunnels wich have side rail coolers that run to a bypass under tunnel cooler and out the other side. it's great craftsmanship just poor customer service on the instruction...
i have the diagram and eveything is in the right spot and i'm cheking it without putting the break back on so when i fudge it up it's easier to take back apart. i'll check the torque spec. also anyone know how to adjust the chain tensioner corrrectly?
Ok i'm having some problems. It seems like i'm getting the reverse gear right but when i tighten everything up the track won't spin. I've tried about fifty times it seems like the lever is sliding over the gear right and seems to shift right. Does anyone know the torque for the lower gear...
Been building my 09 Nytro MTX this last month. Need help with the Van Amburg radiator delete and tunnel install. I have the tunnel mounted and and running my radiator lines. I think i have it right but i'm not sure. Van Amburg doesn't have instructions or pics of their kits to go by. Anyone...
i'd recommend lifting the front to get out all the air bubbles. otherwise when you go riding the first time it will burd itself and then you'll just have to fill it some more. not a bid deal just have antifreeze on hand and don't go far till you get it all burped out.
to bleed completely you'll to put the sled at extreme angles like on a tailgate. I lift the front and run it till the thermostat opens and add then run with the tail up again and do the same.
Gear change
Hey guys i have a 09 nytro MTX and i'm upgrading to a van amburg tunnel and a timbersled 162 skid with a CE 162" track. while i have everything apart i want to change the gearing for the longer track. what should change it too? How much is a new Gear? Where can i order a new gear...
good thread. i bent my Right casing the front end into a snow bank coming off a jump, I bent it back with a crow bar teh same way. I was trying to figure out how to strengthen that area too. i was going to cut a square plate and drop it into the bottom and weld it but i like how you raised your...
Thanks guys. i've decided to bite the bullet and just go a 162" CE. called and had my tunnel changed to a 162" now just have to order the track and skid. i plan on boost next season so might as well go big or not go at all.
my wife has a XTX and i'm looking to swap the track this year. I wanted to get a good mountain track like a powerclaw or CE for her but i've done some research and I don't think you can put anything bigger than 1.75 track on the XTX without doing some other work. I think the best you do is the...
I need some input. i'm rebuilding my 09 Nytro Mtx with a Van amburg tunnel and a moutain tamer (i think) rear skid. I'm really torn between getting a 153" powerclaw track or going with a 156" CE with 8" rear wheels on the skid, any input? I ride in the NW, st helens, adams, hood, HOODOO...
Thanks for the info. I plan on deleting the heat exhanger in the front of the tunnel and leaving the radiator for now. How do you know if you're running too cold? is there something i should look for in particular? if it's too cool i guess i'll take out the radiator til i bood it nex year. let...
