Phazer high rpm at low speed

A lot of clutching is based on what your rpm’s flash to at wide open. I would find out if you are in the right range first before changing a lot based on a certain speed

    First ride of the season...

This was definitely a good year for Michigan. I thought I was done for the year and then we had a big storm last weekend. I rode Friday in a blizzard and was the only one on some trails. And then we had an ice and snow storm Saturday, Sunday and most of the area was without power. After...

    12 Vector Ltx belt issue

I wonder if at some point the springs start to lose tension on these older sleds and don't grip the belt as well causing excessive heat. I replaced belts on 2 of my riding buddies sleds this year when out riding, an 06 Venture and an 08 Vector. The belts were fairly new. I have taken to...

    Stryke - Snowtracker carbide?

Thanks again for posting this Nordik. I put the 7.5 shims in the front and rode this weekend and it's the best I have ever had with the stryke skis. Even with the trails like an ice skating rink this weekend I went straight and true. Now I will probably have to wait till next year to really...

Getting rid of the roll over valve

I have simple redneck solution. The hose clamp to my rollover valve is one of those that has a plastic wingnut on it so I can loosen it with my fingers. Whenever my sled sits outside on a cold night, which is almost never , I just open that clamp up a little while the sled is warming up so...

    Stryke - Snowtracker carbide?

Billy, I don't think so because my sled is set up with zero toe out. I have had snowtrackers on my sleds for over 10 years now and they are perfect on my Viper with AC skis, just not quite perfect with the Strykes. Snowtracker are the best for easier steering and no push, you just have to fine...

    Stryke - Snowtracker carbide?

Thank you for posting that @Nordic. I have been trying to make snow trackers work on my Stryke skis for 2 seasons now. With the shims even in front and back the ST were nervous, not quite darty but nervous at times. I tried putting a 5.0 shim in the back and it didn't really improve anything...

    First ride of the season...

I rode around the Cadillac MI area last weekend and put on over 250 miles in 3 days and I don’t think I’ve ever seen better trail conditions. At least for a very long time. This winter reminds me of winter when I was a kid back in the 60s. Of course now it’s all melting but hoping for a return...

    Won’t start!!?

Worst case your starter went out, but try checking the battery connections and relay connections under the seat, mine always seem to work loose.

    So this happened...

I fixed one like that for my buddy that never does any maintenance. You all have a friend like that right? He drove on the bad bearing so long that the jackshaft broke and the secondary ended up in the belly pan up in the UP. After cutting out the old bearing race with a dremel tool I...

Help suspension bottoming out on transfer blocks

You don't have wheels under the sled when testing do you. Not trying to offend but they act different if you push down on a sled thats on the the dolly's.

    Secondary shifting

If it doesn’t move freely with no springs I would check the bushings and sliders.

    Shifter won't move

On my friends Venture his shift lever was so bad it would hardly work most to the time and when it did it was a fight. I sprayed the whole thing down with some white lithium grease in a aerosol can and it has shifted smoothly ever since.
