Just wondering if anyone on here built a stroker 998 ? How is it for tuning and what does it run like ? My build list for this season and parts are already ordered are Brian Crower 4340 billet stroker crank (1071cc) , Brian Crower MOAR rods with larger piston pins , Cp Carrillo 8.5.1 pistons , Kibblewhite black diamond stainless intake valves , Kibblewhite white diamond inconel exhaust valves , Brian Crower stage 3 turbo cams , ARP case studs and new arp 625 head studs and hypersports ecu . I’m pairing this to my big turbo mcx stage 4 build which I will link here

Just wondering if anyone else has done similar and has any dyno numbers or any tips for me .
Mcx stage 4 Build
So last march I had the opportunity to purchase an insurance wrote off 2018 BTX. This would be my third sidewinder as I currently had a 2017 MTX162" and a 2019 SRX both are td multi map tuned and a LONG list of aftermarket parts on both. To properly premise this post and credit TD both sleds...

Well kit has arrived … as stated in original post 4340 billet stroker crank , rods , pistons , arp case studs , hypersports ecu , stm 11.25 secondary , Kibblewhite inconel exhaust valves and stainless intake valves , stage 3 turbo camshafts and another pile of parts . Tore engine down , must have done something right last time I built it all the main and rod bearing looks mint even after seeing 36 psi + on the regular . So just starting to test fit up the new crank for main and Rod bearing clearances time to start getting this 1071cc stroker making some big q-16 fueled power ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

nice project be interesting to see the difference with the stroker compared to the stock stroke crank.

Will be hard to judge from stock, was dealing with low boost on bottom end , found the issue as I tore the sled down so that’ll all be fixed when this stroker fires up so won’t have true comparison, this is on a big turbo drag sled so no day to day riding

Any chance you can quote some estimated round about numbers on these custom parts that others could use as a rough guide in case they want to tackle a similar build . Curious how much a stroker crank would cost ?

Crank , rods and custom comp. ratio cp Carrillo pistons were all from Brian crower and it was roughly 4500 usd including a arp crankcase bolt kit to get rid of the tty crank bolts .Any chance you can quote some estimated round about numbers on these custom parts that others could use as a rough guide in case they want to tackle a similar build . Thats all top Quality stuff and when you get the best it cost… From my understanding thats not out of line, but do post your results on what you find in differance in actual performance…Crank , rods and custom comp. ratio cp Carrillo pistons were all from Brian crower and it was roughly 4500 usd including a arp crankcase bolt kit to get rid of the tty crank bolts .

I would definitely like to see your build progress. I have always wanted to do this to my Viper even though I know it's expensive and everyone would say just get a turbo. I think it would be a fun woods sled.

It’s been awhile since the last update but here it is , crank, rods and pistons are installed , new bearings toleranced and installed crankcase bolted up with Brian crowers arp case stud kit ( HIGHLY recommend over stock tty bolts ) all ring gaps were set , block honed , crankcase die ground for needed clearance for stroker crank ( long process of checking and re checking ) . Kibble white inconel exhaust and stainless intake valves lapped and installed , new cometic mlx head gasket coated in copper spray a gasket (2 coats) and installed with arp 2000 studs torqued to 60ft lbs let it sit for 24 hrs then do retorque , cams installed and reshimmed all the buckets to Brian crowers spec for the stage 3 cams . Have to tapp the head for Casey hauck’s HD cam bolt kit then engine ready to go back in the sled . Hopefully get it in this week off work ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

About the only other thing I would have considered during your build would be Cyogenics.. Most top Motor builders are using this process now with amazing results..
