Those should work.....Had mine installed in 2010....they work!!! A noticeable difference from the stock hand warmers. The kit I purchased was around $100 and came with replacement elements and grips. To remove the stock grips you will have to remove the rivet and cut them off with a razor...
I just recently replaced the exhaust donuts on my xtx....Last spring I could hear a small rattle in the exhaust. Once taken apart...I could tell where the rattle sound was coming from. The exhaust clamps loosen off when the exhaust donuts have worn out, causing the clamps to turn on the...
Get a set of X wheels from Excell. I put some on this year and they seem to work well. I have not felt the sliders stick yet and we have very little snow this season so far.
I had the same problem with my hand warmers....they were junk. I was fortunate enough to have one of the elements burn out and had them replaced by warranty. Yamaha supplies replacement warmers and they are far better than the stock warmers. I rarely run the hand warmers over half now...way...
I'm not dragging poop....i am sure you now what i meant.....too funny. Did not realize that this site did not allow that type of fowl language.....Cr*p
Yup...thats where my sliders were burning off too. I bought some scratchers last winter and broke one off on the second ride. I was no impressed that I had to drag #*$&@ to prevent slider wear. Hop that these wheels solve the problem. Bring on the snow already!!
Not enough snow here to ride either. The groomer is still parked. Last year we were riding at the beginning of December. I have this felling that the trails won't open this year and we will have to trailer to the snow.
I picked up the X wheel kit (8 wheel) this fall and installed them. I have only been out once since the snow conditions here are terrible. But, with the crappy conditions I expected the sliders to stick for sure. I rode 70 miles that day and didn't feel them stick at all. I am pleased so...
You should have stuck to the stock yamaha oil and filter. By trying to save a few dollars on oil and a filter you have just cost yourself a lot of money. I know others that have done the same thing you have. Their machines have trouble starting in cold weather and the cheaper filtlers are...
I installed the camoplast 1 3/4" backcountry track on my sled two years ago and i am quite happy with it. I do lots of trail riding and have found that the track has held up well....haven't lost a lug yet. The downfall is that you lose some top end, but it sure grabs out of the hole and off...
Yes I agree with that!!! Sucks when you go on a trip and you have to worry about the sliders wearing out before the trip is over. It happened....loaded the sled onto the trailer and there was a 4 inch hole worn completely through. I am going to order as well. Thanks guys!!! :rocks:
Good to here from someone who has tried these wheels. I just may have to try them myself. I replaced the sliders on my machine 3 times last year!!! Installed some scratchers and broke one of them off on the first day!!! With the scratcher gone the sliders was toast in 70 miles!!! The snow...
That sounds good. Did he add any extra wheels or did he just replace the stock wheels? The dealer that I deal with wanted me to try some ski-doo wheels, but they would have looked terrible. Thanks!!
X Wheels by Excell Motorsports!! Anyone out there that has installed these? Looking to solve my slider wear problem on my XTX. Using scrathers right now but i think i shouldn't have too!! Any advice??
