Re: 09 vector
don't know much about vectors but i'd take a look at these ground blocks...there was a guy on this post that had an issue with tail lights ... have you had the plug in off for the windshield and gauges ..i'd start with every plug in you have to take off for an oil change or had...
i do believe the atmosphere sensor is bolted onto the steel bracket for the computer...witch is bolted to the very bottom of the battery tray ...little hard to get at ...i don't know why yamaha would put expensive parts where most of the snow is going to end up on the sled ..but to tell ya the...
there is a little box 2 hoses plug into ..i noticed some greese in there ..must have sucked some in ..i did put some grease on the battery and plug ins arround the battery ..but the cover was on the battery ..things move arround and ninety miles an hour even greas on a cold day...i also took...
i had a ground issue too it caused my lights to mess up and fuel pump...the ecu runs just about everthing on these sleds . the point is there is no general way they act when the ecu is bad ..its from bad lights to bad idleing to stupid little trouble code that points you to something that is...
looking for help ...it started out as just clicking a few times when it started ..thought it was the battery ..charged it up good was working good shut it off on a cold day for an hour or so..no fuel pump noise ..there was a code flashing but i didn't look ..it would just wurl and not start of...
think your right ..some mornings for some strange reason the fuel pump will work but when you roll it over it takes three trys of start and stall before it will finally start and stay running ..now i'm getting code 20 and sometimes code 14 (only when i give the throttle a little squeeze to get...
is yours still running good ..i'm getting code 20 and sometimes the fuel pump takes a few flips of the switch to kick in ...i did all the stuff you did i think i'm needing an ecm ..
theres one by the driven clutch but up above it and on the other side of the frame . the ground has i think 3 places it bolts one to behind the battery on one of the starter botls , another onto the voltage regulator and the other i haven't really traced...if its just a tailight i don't think...
when you take the hood off.. at the front right where the voltage regulator i think they call it is..there is a plastic cover above that with two phillips headed screws in it ..take that off shine a light in there or reach in..you can almost see or feel them in the wire loom ..you have to take...
there are some under the battery too anything thats brown or black with one of them blocks on them is ground as far as i know ..i soldered all mine together and it didn't help but it didn't hurt lol..did you try greasing that plug that goes under your seat on the right hand side ...its somewhere...
i did that the other day and it didn't seem to help ..the reason i put the sled in to fix it in the first place ..it was doing this on a couple occasions... one time it was at night and after the fuel pump worked i started it and the lights didn't work ..neither did the beeper for reverse ..i...
you guys are right it wasn't cold enough ..the warning light came on this morning ..its act the same as i when i put it in to fix it tho...i'm getting code 20 ..and the fuel pump only works after you flip the key on and off a few times..i hear the relay clicking but the pump isn't humming ..only...
i've had this sled since 2008 ..i changed the battery and greesed some plugins fuses and fixed the ground blocks..it seems to run better ..i just got it running tonight ..however when i started it the red light never came on that you have wait for it to warm up...it was in the basement so i...
