i've had this sled since 2008 ..i changed the battery and greesed some plugins fuses and fixed the ground blocks..it seems to run better ..i just got it running tonight ..however when i started it the red light never came on that you have wait for it to warm up...it was in the basement so i thought that might be normal ...took it for a short rip ..hour or less.been home for almost 2 hours and its been in the drive way uncovered ..just went and checked and still no red light ...its about -3 c or 27 degrees out ..i don't know does it always come on or just when the weathers cold ..it does come on but by the time the fuel pump cycles its off

It didn't get cold enough outside. I was out in Bathurst this weekend and had it parked for hours and it still didnt show the red light. See how it is in the morning.

The conditions when you started your sled may not have warranted the warning light, -3 degrees is not cold. The light does not come on all the time.

Turn your ignition on, not the sled...does the light turn on and off then?

you guys are right it wasn't cold enough ..the warning light came on this morning ..its act the same as i when i put it in to fix it tho...i'm getting code 20 ..and the fuel pump only works after you flip the key on and off a few times..i hear the relay clicking but the pump isn't humming ..only if i flip the key on a few times..i don't know i'm at a loss

Fuel pump sounds like there is a sticking brush or a flat spot where the brushes contact. Next time the relay clicks, thump the side of the gas tank hard if the fuel pump has not turned on. Dirty trick to get the fuel pump working.

If it is doing what I described, it will eventually fail.

i did that the other day and it didn't seem to help ..the reason i put the sled in to fix it in the first place ..it was doing this on a couple occasions... one time it was at night and after the fuel pump worked i started it and the lights didn't work ..neither did the beeper for reverse ..i soldered the ground blocks together and greased them and replaced and greased that 40 amp green fuse by the battery ..and greased the plug in for the starter relay ..i greased all the plug ins actually every darn one on the machine..i thought it was moisture causing it ..here is the topic that made me decide to solder and grease the ground blocks

Either the ecu or temp sending unit.

think your right ..some mornings for some strange reason the fuel pump will work but when you roll it over it takes three trys of start and stall before it will finally start and stay running ..now i'm getting code 20 and sometimes code 14 (only when i give the throttle a little squeeze to get it running while cranking )...sometimes the lights won't work or the back up beeper ..i soldered all the ground blocks..even after it runs i'm not thinking it idles or works as good as it used to ..i only have 2900 miles on this sled mostly in the powder tho
