Problem I see with NOS is either you're setup is good on or off NOS... not both ! But it sure is cheaper that turbo. But then again... with the turbo... you're NEVER out of juice !!
I'm a Cat fan (still am) with a 2005 F7 EFI Snopro, but when I saw the Apex GT... I just HAD to have it. I think it'll be a much better sled for what I do, fast aggresive groomed trail riding.
I really think I'm ready for a 4 stroke engine. Though, I meed need some power adders (supercharge...
Mighty, I was busting your balls too... nice ride. Funny how all these cars are coming back as classics.
Look at anything at the end of the 60's and beginning of 70's... Mustangs, Corvettes, Cudas, Camaros... So HOT.
Might be only our generation... but I just can't imagine our kids...
SIMICH,, I bought it when the exchange rate was not to bad (much better these days), and I had a budget of 35-37K. YEAH RIGHT!!!
Problem is to keep it real... by the time you want a fuel cell, coil over front and back, AutoMeter guages, polished intake,... you loose sight of your budget...
Apexaholic, Yamaha aren't taboo... you still see many SRX's triples... Usually, guys in Quebec LOVE performance abd FAST sleds... not too say that an RX1 is not fast... but I guess we were all waiting for something a bit.... faster.
If Arctic Cat would've come out with a 1000cc this year in a...
Mighty, I would have bought an original AC Cobra, but I was missing a little bit of cash... just $290,000 out of the $350,000US for an original '66 AC 427.
Tahoe, I have to say I was really pleased with Factory Five Racing, they sold over 5000 AC kits. I built it myself. From the frame...
Factory Five Racing. 2305 pounds, 351W with lots of mods, 440-450HP. Tires still spin at 60MPH. It's fun enough to waith until next winter for my APEX.
RX1Tahoe, what brand is yours ?
Hi guys... newbie here too. I had a couple of Firecats F7's those last few years, and they ruled the performance market pretty much. I too, did the move on a Apex GT (snow checked) for next year. AMAZING looking sled, full of technology.
I just hope I won't be dissapointed in the...
Is NOS a good power adder for trail use ? I think ultimately a turbo or supercherger is better performance wise, but prices are a bit steep. I'm just wondering if NOS we will be good for some drag racing, in the trails every now or then or if it's mostly best for mountain use....
I just bought an APEX GT two weeks ago. I'm selling my 2005 F7, and I know I won't regret it. I live in Quebec, home of the best groomed trails. I don't drag much, no mountain climbing either.
I want a trailable, power adder that will run on pump gas, be REALLY reliable (low PSI). I'm...
I crossed too...
I did it... and it wasn't even hard !! Put the 2005 F7 EFI Snopro up for sale and signed for a 06 ApexGT. Don't get me wrong, it was my 2nd F7... I love those sleds...
But I just HAD to had the Apex GT
