I put a set of 8 tooth drivers on my 2003 RX-1 and it gave me lots of clearance. It originally came with the 9 tooth.I would also recommend the extrovert drivers to stop the ratcheting and plus you can run your track a lot looser and makes it easier on the slide rails.By installing the 8 tooth...
I just purchased rear shocks for my 2003 RX-1 and they are Elka brand name with tripple rate springs.Does anyone have any input of where to start with the initial set-up?
Thanks Jeff :o|
They were made from a company in Quebec but only made them for a short time. Now they make shocks for quad runners, motorcycles, etc, but not snowmobiles.Just check out Elka.com.

P.S nice sled!!!
Thanks for the info.I guess I will have to just experiment with these shocks until it feels good.I will have to contact Elka and try to find out just where to start.
Thanks again.

I just purchased rear shocks(used) for my 2003 rx1 and was wondering on the initial set-up.I am 200lbs dry and ride fairly aggressive. Can anyone help?
Thanks Jeff

When you the clutches should be cool,do you mean you should be able to lay your hand on them? Also with the primary clutch, will you get some heat transfer from the engine?
thanks
This is what was recommended for the initial set-up--hole #1-- 1/4" allen screw
-hole#2-- 3/8" sleel fastener
-hole#3--7/16 steel fastener + 1 thin washer.
To be honest my riding season was really short last year and not alot of time for testing. Thanks for your info and as soon as the snow...
