Have a friend with a stock SRX, 2300 miles going along fine at speed and then drops out, same deal. Stop, shut down, restart, fine for days....till it does it again....bad bushing.
I see this back up and had to mention, I was going to try the spray but being a vinyl graphics guy I used high performance 2 mil vinyl ( covered the Yamaha red stripe with orange) and after 3 years its still perfect...
My 800 had a SLP single setup, different gearing and clutching and a home made wrap, sled was an absolute riot to ride, on or off trail, light and quick. As you said, dollar per hp was crazy.
Amen, I installed a single ply on a 185hp. good running 1000 for a friend (tried to talk him out of it) and within the season it flapped a stud and wasted the cooler, what a mess. As I mentioned, I ran a Rip 2 on my 137 and could run in waist deep snow and it was solid on the trail. If I could...
I had a Rip 2 on my last 137, loved it, great off trail too. When I got this 129 it had the useless Rip1 so the first thing I did was track down a new. fully clipped 1 3/8" Cobra. I'm reasonably well studded and maybe its my setup but the 2 137's I ride with can't touch my Cobra out of the hole...
If anyone has a set they're not going to use and would like to find a new home for them please message me, I have the fronts and center springs and I'd love to try the rears.
I wouldn't stud it, we installed one years ago and studded it, year later he had one pull thru and sent the stud thru to the other side of the front cooler, what a mess, never again.
They work great, I have the multimap 4 stage tune and as much as I like the power I don't spend much time on the lake or using the stutter button, the economy flash is my favorite, I can touch 17 mpg easily and the machine is still a beast.
