Anybody swap out their rear springs from a 2017/18 sidewinder to the SRX ones? Curious if they make much of a difference.

Id be interested too....Anybody swap out their rear springs from a 2017/18 sidewinder to the SRX ones? Curious if they make much of a difference.
I thought someone said the SRX torsions were same part# as my 129 RTX comes with, anyone know for sure?
Its looking like I will be forced to go 137 for 2020, so Ill be trying things.

Does anyone know if the springs from 129 to 137 are physically the same length ect?The part numbers are different. Just looked them up on Port's Fiche.
If they all are same length, then at least can experiment with them.

In this rear springs options chart, they do not distinguish 129/137
https://support.countrycat.com/posts/2857050-2014-2018-rear-spring-options
I swapped torsion springs on my previous 2014 XF7000 137, same skid as the LTXSE, with the softer optional springs.
Last fall I changed the torsion springs on my Wifes 2018 129 skid with the softer optional springs.
I now have 2 sets of springs left over. 137 & 129 are the same length.
Here's more technical information to chew on.

Granted these are Arctic references, but the components are the same. Arctic gives one part number. Yamaha gives another.

So to be clear, which are the lightest(part number) torsions for these sleds? Since they are all same length ect, sounds like just getting the lightest ones will help with transfer.
thanks

On the optional spring chart, the L is the lighter than stock spring, and the H is the heavier than stock spring.
However, after looking at the Arctic parts fiche, 2016 and beyond the turbo sleds had the lighter 2704 torsion springs. That means the SideWinders do to.

And you are saying all Winders have same springs in rears? 129 and 137 and SRX all same?On the optional spring chart, the L is the lighter than stock spring, and the H is the heavier than stock spring.

Not necessarily. I Do know my 2014, 2017, and 2018 torsion springs are the same physical size. And you are saying all Winders have same springs in rears? 129 and 137 and SRX all same?

2019 brought some changes for sure. I would bet money that the physical size is the same though.
Not sure about the SRX? Arctics version would be the Thunder Cat 137 maybe? Those uses a 3704.
New part number to me, but stands to reason the 3704 is the lowered version of the 2704.
ZR9000 137 uses 2704 spring.
The ZR9000 129 is back to the 1704 spring.
Time to make the call, to your Yamaha parts guy, to confirm.
But I'm confident that all 3 springs will fix the ProCross skid with different behavioral differences.
1704 standard 129 & early 137
2704 softer
3704 softer & lower
Here's the Arctic parts look up for fun.

Has anyone else that purchased the SRX torsion springs found that each side isn't even close to the same angle (first pic)? I measured 1 of them at 101° but the other is 108°. They are supposed to be 100°.
I have a pair off a 15 Viper LTX that I used to have and those have the same problem, although not as bad (2nd pic). The Viper torsion springs were removed when that sled had 46 miles on it.

I have a set of thunderclap torsions and a set of SRX and they both match up no problem. I did not compare them to each other just compared them to stock springs and the sets themselves. Those look off to me.

If anyone has a set they're not going to use and would like to find a new home for them please message me, I have the fronts and center springs and I'd love to try the rears.

Thundercat & SRX torsion springs will be the exact same parts with different part numbers on them. I asked the dealer to order another of the one that measured 108°. My parts guy there agreed that it doesn't seem right to be that far off.I have a set of thunderclap torsions and a set of SRX and they both match up no problem. Damn near looks like one of the new ones you have is a stock spring miss marked.Thundercat & SRX torsion springs will be the exact same parts with different part numbers on them.
