Is it possible to run the a-arms too low. So much so that I could possibly do damage during a hard bottom? I run mine just a tad higher than parallel to the ground.
Are they easy to get to?
Although my sled is on its 4th season, it only has 2200 miles on it :o|
I do have almost 2 years left on my YES. Hopefully it will be covered.
I was in the same boat but I put the brakes on when I started to read about all the issues this year that the Doo's are having with the new fuel combined with being jetted lean to meat EPA standards. I don't think its a bad product I just think that until they get the fuel issue straighten out...
My Apex just turned 2200 miles (06 ER) and on start up I hear some knocking from what seems to be the clutch side and it fades away with in seconds. The sound or pitch of the motor has also changed this year but the sled is faster than ever. I am seeing 118 on the dremo where I would only see...
They were toed out. We measured 41.5 inches on the back skeg stud and 42.75 on the front stud. We looked close and did not see any paint flaking on the a-arms or anything visable. I manged to ride another 80 miles home without out issue once we re aligned the skis so my guess is its nothing...
The other day, I hit a mound of snow from a frost heave at about 75 and it launched me. I landed and rode it out but my bars were tweaked a bit. Upon further investigation, I found that my ski alignment was out by quite a bit but I don't see anything bent. Any ideas? Is it possible that I...
With the stock sway bar I was running my A arms pretty close to level. The installation instructions say to run no less than 5.4 inches from the top of the shock to the top of the spring. This was much more pressure than the way I was running it before and with the new bar and this set up, it...
If my sled stops running because of a dead battery and I have a rope, I'm using it to tow my sled back, not to start it. I ride with some emergency jumper cables also.
Thanks, I was kind of worried because of the "noisy" start up but I guess I will attribute that to the zero degree temps that it sat in for a week. It quieted down with a few seconds.
hmm, I just checked it stone cold and the level is at the same height???????
When it was running the oil tank was hot so I know its circulating but I thought the level would drop quite a bit when cold.
I just checked the oil in my 06 Apex and it looks WAY overfilled. Had it serviced 120 miles ago at the dealer and just figured I would check as we are going on a long trip this week. I started the sled in my trailer and let it get nice and hot with an occasional blip of the throttle for about...
My buddy has an 05 RX1 and he just fired it up for the first time this year and the yellow/orange triangle warning light immediately came on and never shut off. There are no other codes flashing, just the light. He doesn't have the manual. Can anyone clue me in as to what the light might...
I was out on a hard packed snow covered lake and saw 118 mph on the speedo and my GPS recorded a top speed of 104.8 Is that about right for a bone stock Apex ER (I'm 250 geared up)? It felt like it had a little more in it but it started to cavitate like a boat everytime I hit a bump.
Is this more than likely an adjustment in the linkage or is it indicative of impeding doom (or should I say BOOM)?
Sled only has 1500 miles on it and it has already had 3 complete services at the dealer (one at the end of each season)
