It seems to me that these progressive springs want preload and you can use straps to adjust ski pressure. My 03 doesn't tip it falls over without preload on ski springs.
OK let's start over. Right now I have straps with 30mm stud showing and front springs with about 1 3/4" thread showing or 5/8"preload. not so tippy but extremely heavy to steer. Rear spring on min preload,FRA to max.My next move will be to let straps out most of the way to lessen ski pressure...
Like I said in my origional post I only expected to be as good as 1999 bombardier tech but not meaning to offend anyone as this was a first doo for me in a line of yamahas from about 1984.Maybe I just expected this to be like all my older yammies ride it! It seems though instead of spending time...
In response to ecopter where I am there are no groomed trails so I guess instead of cruising we ditch bang and I need somethig lighter with a more responsive suspension. But Bob if I keep riding this I will need a pharmicist and chriopractor instead of a top end job at 3-5000k
I have had this 03 rx1 hartman 136 around since last summer. I couldn't wait to get a run. Well I finally got some seat time this weekend and I can't believe how ancient this lead sled rides! Engine is decent but otherwise feels like riding something out of the mid ninties. I had Yammies for...
I have also got a 136" hartman just done. Is anyone running a rear cooler with this extension or one of the home made 3/4" copper Tom suggests as mine was hot after a very short run.No snow here yet to run it to see what will happen. When I take it out again I'll get pic's to post.
wix 1358
the 1358 is definately not the same filter. I checked one with the OEM yammie and a 1/2 deep socket fits in the wix but wont go into the yamaha so be very careful. I will be using yamaha filter til someone makes one closer than a 1358! :ORC
