You will get close, but you will need more than a clutch kit. CPR clutched
F7s are very quick and also have a lot of top end. We have radared
them at 113 on hard pack and have seen some go 116 on ice
clutched and studded only. Take it for what it's worth, I'm sure a lot
of people will argue...
Thats why you can't always believe what you read or hear.
Those figures are from Dynotech from the old forge shootout
2003. They oficially certify all sleds there to ensure no one is
cheating. They are real, I have had my own stock RX1 dynoed
and it made 135HP
If my math is correct 25-37 should be good for about 134 and 25-38
should put you right around 130 assuming a 2% overdrive. Can't
wait to see your results. Good luck, Should see some 9 sec passes
next time out.
Assuming he has stock warrior gearing of 23-38 (1.65) and is hitting
rev limiter, why would he want to gear down to 22-40 (1.81) A better
choice would be something like 24-37 (1.54) or less.
There are many advantages to a centrifugal blower vs turbo.
First would be to use a self contained blower (no oil feed or return)
You would also be able to retain stock exhaust system.
No need to run smaller gas tank like front mount turbo.
Less heat in engine compartment.
Blower mounted...
Why would you want max boost off Idle, you would never be able
to put that much power to the ground on a trail sled. Also at clutch
engagement rpm of say 3800 you certainly would be producing
boost. Another thing is that with snowmobile clutching you are at
9500+ rpm almost instantly thus...
Check this out, it is for the watercraft version of the RX motor. This is
certainly something that could be done. When the airbox and battery
are removed there is plenty of space to mount the supercharger. The
drive system will be a little challenging but it can be done using a bearing...
I did not start using oil until approx 2000 mi. I am not saying that
everyone is, I am only saying that the oil that is being used is not
all coming out of the breather.
The amount of oil these things are using is not coming out of the breather.
The plugs also show no signs of oil buildup. Mine was using approx 1 Qt
every 175-200 mi. Used 5 Qt's in 1000 mi. There was certainly not that
much oil in the engine compartment.
Bone stock with only studs, perfect conditions went 116 radar. ECP filter
kit and geared down two teeth 22/38 still runs 113 radar with perfect
conditions. You are dreaming if you think a stocker will go 120.
Hey Ted,
They told me they couldn't understand why it did not work and that
I was the first person to complain. I spoke with the person who set
it up for my sled and told him that I wanted a 58-38 with a .46
progression and he said it would never pull it. They did not have
a 58-38 so they...
Exactly!!! This is getting blown way out of proportion. There can be no
comparison made between OTIS RX sled and any other sled there as
he was the only one other than Dave B who had chisels on their RX1
Also for the record there is nothing in terms of tuning that needs to
be played with to...
I agree with you Ted, I am more so condemning Bender and all of
their infinite wisdom which I am beginning to doubt. The Team that
they sent me was supposed to be set up properly for my sled, which
it obviously was not. You would think by now they would know what
works and what does not...
Welterracer, It just felt flat after 1000 ft so I gave it a shot with the
175s and it woke right up. 170s may be a little closer but I did not
feel like do any more work on the sled.
RB
First off I would like to thank Otis RX for a great day.
It turned out to be only a day for testing. Without the use of chisels
there is no way to get a comparison between sleds. Otis Rx sled works
very well in these conditions. He is running half chisels and half trail
studs and hooks very...
I wouldn't worry about it, Otis RX says that the green guys are
usually not around. I'm going to chance it, the ticket will cost
about as much as the reg anyway. Nothing to lose.
Otis, give me a call. I am the one that all of ECPs dyno reports are from.
Would like to come out and play on the lake. Have not had sled out in
anything colder than 25 degrees, so i would like to see how it will react.
How long is your lake? I was still able to post 130 on speedo and I am...
