Yes I would agree,$850 is a big gamble, even if it worked I wouldn't spend that.I was thinking more in the area of $200-300 at most. How much is synergy's box. They wont tell me.If its cheap then Id use it instead.Something as simple as slowing down a crank signal a few degrees then spitting it...
Would anyone be interested in a box that retards your ignition timing in relation to boost. It would hook up to your factory ignition so you would not have to purchase an entire msd style system.Thinking of making one for my self
The r1 intake ports are closer together than the rx1 so the throttle bodies and such will not work without respacing them which would be a real pain(tried it).?Also an r1 power band is not in the same rpm space as the rx1(apex is probably close)So different fuel curves and such.
Any of the...
I ran a mega squirt on a couple, have the dyno sheets to prove it somewhere. Might give it a try again this year.works well but not realistic to 99.9 percent of people because nothing is plug and play.I can say the rx1 motor is very tough and took a lot of abuse and testing that I threw at it.I...
I tried it by fuel injecting an rx1,you cannot use a garrett style turbo. They used a rajay turbo because of the different oil seals they used that are no longer used in any other kind of turbos. If the other turbos are used they suck the oil right out past the seals due to the vacuum when you let...
I ran some homemade e85 last season.Thinking of fuel injecting again this year and trying it some more.Hate fiddling with the carbs on it,efi is the ticket.I have every thing to convert it.
He speaks the truth, higher octain has less btu's when combusted, its best to only use what you need and nothing more, its also nice to have the safty net of higher octain when turbo'ed so detonation is avoided.
It will start to go then fall on its face. Its lean.If I give it a little extra fuel through the turbo it goes like mad.Ive got 135 mains. Its just instant die out and takes a minute to recoop. If I run it without the intercooler on its very rich but goes.Fuel pressure is at 5lbs and Im on my...
I am not sure where these go.
And what lines hook to the fuel pressure regulator. The pump comes in from the bottem, the two nipples together go to the carbs, the nipple above the carb ones is boost ref,but where does the other go.
Ive used hylomar gasket sealant. Its the only sealant approved by a few car manufactures to be used on head gaskets.Gonna see how it works.I think permatex makes it now
Brad told me he ran 17lbs on the m7.If you use the addage of 10hp per lb of boost he is around 300+hp, but you can sill get more out of the yammies. all a boat load of fun.
On Mike's quote he says that they get away with it. It seems like last year everyone was having a problem with coolant leaks and such at anything over 14psi .Im just looking at 15psi and a little splash of nitrous that I would like to get reliablity out of.
