If and when my sled sits it takes quite a while for it draw fuel to the carbs. This happens in many sleds if owned. Sometimes I'll spray gas into the carbs while cranking or blow air into the tank but not many psi just enough to pressurize the lines. Hope it helps.
After doing my carb cleaning a friend mentioned he had never cleaned his so I told him I'd give him a hand with it. What I notice what mine don't have is them o rings on the main pilot jets. Why his not mine? I did do the 165 main jet on mine and looked at my old ones no o rings. Are they...
I've used the two part JB weld for many years without no problems. Clean the area well before hand. I use to weld but in most cases that involves removing the suspension what I hate. I use a putty knife and give it ample set time back out riding the next day.
I could use a little help on a RX 1 carb. There are 3 points to plug the carbs in 1 you have the two wires with male and female ends 2 the black plug in top side of the carbs 3 the white plug that runs bottom side of the carbs. My question is the white on the bottom side wasn't plug in ? Any one...
I am letting the sled warm up and also idle down before shuting it down. Yes it is what I would call a burble when I'm on and off the gas. As far as a pilot jet in the charge tube? I have nothing like that I think that is just used in the bender setup I think? Just was wondering if this burble...
I just picked up a 03 RX1 with a simons front mount turbo. When I got it home 1st thing I had to do is pull the carbs off and clean them because when I grab a handfull of throttle it would studder and bog till it hit higher rpm. And sometimes even stall at idle. And yes the little rubber o rings...
I gutted mine back when it was new and have one not gutted and over time they both sound about the same now. But at the time it was consideratly louder now not so much.
I'm just curious I noticed a few here saying that they have had to replace the exhaust donuts. My question is how can you tell they went bad? Loud or fumes? Really not like a 2 stroke where it cause it to get lean or effect performance unless their completely gone. thanks
Really don't know what you mean by [large] round? And no need to adjust the air screws if it was running fine before you started. Also a can of carb cleaner at this point not a bad idea either for cleaning. Just sync the carbs when your done. Also I would change the springs in the carb. The...
I have a question. We now have 3 03 RX1's in camp and the new 1 we picked up I just did the 167.5 main jets with silver springs and modded the air box,10 ek's plugs last night. While running it takes off it will run up to 9 RPM then mid range strong running up to 9.500 but that's it. The second...
