    I ordered 18-42 gears so I could keep my stock 68 chain and a spring with a preload of 35 I will try this out and see how it works if I have to I will go back to the stock spring and use shims. Just depends on how she launches, and pulls while climbing.

    I moved the helix around while I was installing it so I will have to try to twist it. I noticed my belt is sitting too low in the secondary clutch I am sure that this is why the belt is slipping so I hope twisting the spring will fix the clutch which will fix the belt which will make me stop...

    I will get a hold of the dealer today. I took the sled out Wed. and noticed that I really lose power as I go up in altitude I started out on top (10 to 11k) and as I dropped down about 1000 to 1500 ft the sled felt like it was running way better It was even getting about 1000 more rpms on the tach.

    My local dealer is snowmobile ignorant which is why I purchased my Apex from a different dealer. They didn't even know about 0-30 oil until I asked them to order some. So I need as much info about this high altitude setup as I can get.

    Rolled or Relocate?

    If you contact Avid I believe they do have the parts to relocate the chain case but the new chaincase, if you don't mind the price, is the way to go they have some pics of one of there sleds with the chaincase and the approach angle is awesome definately worth the money. :4STroke:
