Great sled. It's a trail cruiser with decent power. I have a 2013 gt and turned over 15,000 miles this season. Love the electronic power steering. Trouble free mileage with regular maintenance.

If she is riding, not complaining about the ride and is satisfied topping out at about 75 mph, I'd leave it alone. After riding a Viper and could not stand the way it rode coming from an Attak and would never buy one. As you said "she loves it!"

It would be a good idea to pull the whole skid as there are probably other issues. But if you have no mechanical experience or help, you'd be over your head in a hurry. You might need to un bolt the bracket that holds the shock, not sure. Did you try lightly prying on the spacer?

I think you can start by removing the bolt (#7) on the outside of the rail that goes into the shaft that the wheel is on. The part that "looks worn" appears to be the inner bearing race from the "broken" wheel. Once the bolt is out, the silver "spacer" part #24 (right of your blue circle)...

It's always a good idea to fuse all accessory lines. I would say a bad shield or the wire/plug in at the shield. Did you try plugging a different RCA cable to her shield?

I don't care for "out with the old." A lot of members have older sleds and it appears they are no longer welcome(?). Old sleds rock, they got us to where we are today. How about switch the sleds around and put "An Industry Leader then..." ----- "...and Still Outstanding Today."

They are not "blue" at all. They are listed as "cool white" and I think that is a good description. Call SB on the phone and address your concerns with them. They are always very helpful.

Check out the muffler! There have been issues where something happens inside, they get louder and then start on fire! like the 2014 Viper of a friend of mine... Yamaha paid for all the damage under warranty.
