Yeah sounds like it. My broken bolt was riding around in the chain case cover for a while. It lasted some 12,000 miles so if I get that or more with higher strength bolt, I can live with that.

Thanks guys, dont worry about it now. I was only looking for other drive shaft options if I had trouble removing the broken bolt. I used some cheap HF bolt extractors today and the bolt easily came out. So I am good. Thanks to all for your help!

Thanks Alan. Yeah the 9 tooth OEM drivers have an OD of approximately 6.889" vs 7.125" OD for the Wahl Bros 8 tooth drivers. A difference of 0.118" on the radius for the drivers. Dont know what to expect in performance with that small driver diameter difference but likely minimal?

Sweet Nytro! I have done some similar mods to my 08' RTX. Yeah, the extra tall windy and side flares makes the Nytro one of the warmest sleds I have ridden! If I could find a set of Mountain Tech Trail front A-arms, I would love to try them. Happy Trails.......... G.B.

Soooooooo, this idea of cutting off the stock welded zerks just past the ball seemed to work well. Just got my skid parts back from my powder coater and they look great! I used a little red locktite on the threads of the M6 x 1.0 zerks when I threaded them into my new tapped holes in the skid...
