Hey Hoping that someone can tell me what my Ulmer clutch kit should be set at on the secondary. On the video they say 6-1. In the instructions on the web site they say 6-3. I just installed used kit ( low miles) in my sled and now the thing is like a slingshot to 75mph and then 76... 77...

So did anyone check to see if the stator has two separate sets of windings, one for lighting and charging and one for the pickup which would use less voltage no doubt but would be more affected by heat. If this pick up side is the fault, then accessories on the machine should not be the issue...

Just switched from an RX1 to a 07 Apex Gt and have been reading the odd post on stator issues. My sled has 9800 mile on it and is getting a good going over this summer, so if stators are a common problem maybe I should change now, but if it is just a random thing I would rather put my money else...

Yes it would be nice to get the most top end ,but honestly, buy the time you are at 100mph you usually know who is faster. Do studs on a cobra really make much difference or is it just alot of added weight for when ever you hit ice patches. Like I say I know the cobra works great off the line...
