I have 1900 miles on my 07 and for the first time the air box got frozen this winter. I did 3 days of riding in 3 feet of powder and on the 3rd day the machine wouldn't idle. The snow keeps melting while riding b ut then freezes when you stop for the day and the air box wasn't getting air. I put...
500 mile check up
Picked up my LT from the dealer today after it's 500 mile oil change. I requested they check on all the things I've been reading about in these posts...motor mount bolts; A arm bolts; loose throttle body; slides.
Everything checked out OK. (I already went thru the loose A...
I took my first 50 mile ride with (Yamaha) tunnel side panels on. They work fine...almost no snow on the running board. Nothing is coming in from the tunnel, but a little is blowing on the very back of the running board from the 4 to 5 inch gap in front on the side reflector. If I covered...
The reason the dealer wanted me to come back to install the 19 is because Yamaha recommended it to prevent possible over reving. I didn't want any void warrantee problems so I had it installed.
I just had the 12V accessory plug installed on my Lite. Works just fine...I wanted it for my GPS. I wish it still supplied power with the key off but it doesn't.
I was really concerned with the hard starting with my Mt Lt when it was taking 5 to 6 tries of 12 seconds each of cranking to start...in a garage at 36-40 degrees.
I finally was able to put 120 break in miles on it...the difference was like night an day. You shouldn't have any problems after...
I lost one of those little plastic retainers in my garage. I picked up half a dozen to keep in my tool kit. If the retainer comes off you can loose the release screw...bad design.
The light is there on the pod. It goes out when the temp reaches 70 degrees. Unless it's really cold, the light goes out real quick after starting...so quick you haven't noticed it.
52 Mt Lt...I've had 2 up sleds and they are always getting stuck...to heavy. A couple of years ago I put wide ski skins and a 2" track on my old Pantera for bush wack'en. I sold it and have a Polaris 2 up sled and the Mt Lt. The Mt Lt is just what I wanted; I have 120 break in miles...waiting...
The LegendC is agreat unit. I would advise using a 12v accessory plug when riding...with an external power source the back light will stay on all the time so you can read it easily. I would also recommend using Lithium batties. They last upwards of 35 hours. I also use mine when golfing at...
I have a luggage bag made of balistic material like most luggage bags. It may not look like a lot of room between the exhast and the rack but there is. I kept an eye on it the first time out and it never got warm.
Last weeked we had about a foot of snow and I was finally able to put some break in miles on my sled. So far I'm real happy with the machine...feels light, lots of torque, more than fast enough to bush wack and open it up when you have an opening. For the most part, I only ride the trails to...
Phazer Mirrors
I couldn't find a mirror that would work...that wouldn't stick up to high and would allow me to still put the cover on. It dawned on me what to do...I mounted an available right hand Phazer mirror on the left side. Because of the reverse mounting, the mirror stick down below...
