Roller, the sled looks great. Does anyone know if the stock skid and shock location on a GT can be used if you take the GT to a 144. And second where is the best place to buy the 144 rails.
Guys those of you who have attacks, do you think going 144 is to long for trail riding. Most of my riding is on trail but you know when the snow is deep you just can not stay out of it. Should I just go to 136 and call it good.
I love the ride of the GT, but but but after 4 broken wires and time lost to the dealership, I would not get the GT again. My question is what is Yamaha doing to better protect the wire for 08. All these new sleds with the electric shock they have to develop better protection for the wire or...
For those that have went to a 144 or 136 does the shock mounting have to be changed or do you bolt the shock in the same location as the 121. Lastly is a 1.5" rip saw track to deep for trail riding?
I am thinking of extending my GT, I ride in UP and in Canada. Has anyone tried a 144" and did you like it for trails. Or should I stick with a 136" and call it good.
Thanks for the reply. My dealer has recieved the info from Yamaha and says he is installing it correctly. But 3 out of the last 4 times I have rode the darn thing keeps breaking. Is anyone tried heated shrink wrap or welding a cover over this area?
I am new to the site, looking for a better fix for the shock problem I have had for the 3rd time in the past 4 rides. My dealer fixes the wire each time and installs the wire tighter and with more ties but it keeps on breaking. What has others done to pervent this problem.
