tRYING TO POST PICTURES

Thanks, that's my own design. I made the tunnel ext. and rail ext. This is just the beginning for this sled. I wanted to get this sled stock from Yamaha in 07 but I had to settle for the 136". That's ok I love to modify my sleds anyway. I think I will take this out to 151" next year, lightweight exhaust that dumps into the tunnel. I will post more pictures now that I know how to get them to show up.
By the way this sled performed great out west in the Big Horns. This engine is simply the best. FYI I went with the skidoo 9 tooth drivers and a 2" 144 track. Fits no problem, with the tunnel protectors pulled out. I would say to someone that is using the skidoo drivers Check the run out of them after you press the on. I needed to true them up on the lathe. they were way out of wack! The Mono rear end works great, I moved the clip up one and it was the difference between night and day.

That is the best looking tunnel extension I have seen. I am going to stretch out my Attak to 151" this summer and I was leaning towards the Hartman kit. How did you like the handling of the Mono with the extension? Did you consider putting on the drop down brackets to give you more ride height in the powder? Does anyone know why Yamaha swore up and down you couldn't add rail extensions on the monoshock when it came out in 2005?

I loved the handling with the 144" .You need to move the clip on the shock up one I thought, but alot of people did this anyway with the 136" The mono handled it great. I can still come to a wooped out trail, lean back and let the skid do all the work. Smoooooth baby. I have bought stuff from hartman in the past he has nice product. Like I said this sled was simply great out west with the 144" set up. I do think the 151" would be perfect. I will try to get more pictures up. I didn't do any type of drop bracket because I think it would put to much ski psi. I love this sled!!!

Weight transfer has nothing to do with the length of the skid. If you have a short track, there can be a tendency to WHEELIE, which is NOT weight transfer - thats when the whole rail actually lifts from the front, reducing the contact area on the ground. Longer skids won't wheelie nearly as easily - this means that your rail contact with the ground is more consistent for overall better traction/hookup. They'll still transfer awesome.

I had my coupler set well past max. I like to have my front end to come up right now! when rideing in deep snow. This brings me to my next prodject. By next winter I will have a coupler rod that I can control from the handle bars. Then I can go from rough trail ride (coupled) to off trail rideing uncoupled without leaving my seat! More on that later.

Roller, the sled looks great. Does anyone know if the stock skid and shock location on a GT can be used if you take the GT to a 144. And second where is the best place to buy the 144 rails.

Yes I did use 4" rail ext. I have used the rail extensions on a lot of sleds with no problems at all. I make them myself so I can design into the ext A tipped up tail end much like they do on the mountain sleds. You can get rail ext from alot of company's Tracks usa has them that includes haveing the hyfax extended also. I never seen the need.

I ride in the northeast mostly, my question to you guy,s first with the 144 are you happy with it in the twistie's and do you notice any more push in the turns. Also LB with the expert x does the approach angle of the track lessen as opposesd to stock suspension. I plan on changing the drivers to 9 inch. The sled is a S/C Attak. Trying to accomplish a lesser track angle.
Thanks Art ;)!
