I have a 2007 Apex GT the hand warmers are not heating up, the gauge works but no heat to the grips. What can I check before taking it to a dealer.
Regards,
I was talking to a Yamaha dealer at the Toronto show and he has experimented with different runners/carbides on his Apex and he told me that the best ones he found was the Woody's Slim Jims.
I just bought a set off Ebay for $77.00, at the show they were $175 plus tax at the Royal booth.
I have the 5.7's on my 07 Apex GT and the carbides need changing. Currently they are 4" however the Skidoo dealer is telling me that I should be running 6" with the studded track. Can I run 6" in the middle and leave the 4" on the outside
Advise please.
Thanks,
Thanks for the advise. I can get the 12MM locally @ $139.00 however the 13MM must be the most popular as they are out of stock at the 2 dealers that carry them here in Ontario.
I called Pioneer and he is out of stock also.
Go Figure.
I just had the same hitch installed on my 07 Apex GT it works great. I ordered it from the U.S as it was almost half the price of Yamaha Canada for the same part.
Thanks for the advise
My Skis have the dual carbides on the out side and middle. What is the best way to jack up the front of the Apex? so I can check to see which way the skis are pointing.
thx,
I had the dealer install a set of 5.7 Pilot skis on my Apex, I took it out today and put 100 Km on them. The sled was darting all over the place and going around corners at any decent speed lifted the one ski off the ground which made it pretty scary. It really darted bad when letting off the...
I was at the local Yami dealer on Sunday and a guy was trading his 06 Apex GT towards a 2008 Nytro. I asked him why he was trading his Apex and he said the sled was boring to ride.
He said it is comfortable but boring.
Go figure.

I want to use my $500.00 Yama bucks to get my new Apex ER studded so what would be a fair price here in Ontario Canada. The dealer is telling me $500.00 installed.
THX
I called Yamaha Canada today to ask this very question about the shock revalve for 2008 they said that they only did the 2008 40th Anniversary edition Apex and the 2008 RTX no other models have been done for 2008.
I have a 2007 Apex ER on hold at my dealer but I am thinking of upgrading it to a 2008
I would like to know if there is any differences.
Did Yamaha recalabrate the rear shock for 2008. Also my dealer is telling me that I will recieve a cheque for $600.00 from Yamaha if I buy the 2007
