I have a 2007 Apex GT the hand warmers are not heating up, the gauge works but no heat to the grips. What can I check before taking it to a dealer.

If you have had this sled long enough to say that they used to work test each grip element with an ohmmeter and expect too see around 7. If this is a new sled to you that is how they are.
Do you have code 81 coming up on the dash? Code 81 would mean that you either have a bad connection or broken warmers ( more commonly known as coolers)

Just a thought the dealer changed the battery this fall I wonder if he missed hooking something up.

Which dealer? Asslestein's, DT or Doug's small engines?
Not saying either one is bad, just curious who you deal with?

I think you would have a code if it wasn't hooked up

Welcomew to the world of 4 stroke Yamaha hand grips. They don't get very warm due to how they are wired and the programming.
Most all of the guys on here eventually get a yamaheater. You'll have warm hands then!!!!

It would be strange to lose both grips at the same time and not throw a code, especially if they worked fine last season. Did you change anything else? Like gloves, windshields, hand deflectors??? Did you have to run them on full most times last year and now it's just a bit colder out side???
