The Mountain Mod seat is higher and thats about it. There isn't any real weight savings. They do make a cover that goes over the stock seat that looks awesome. Thats the route I'm going.
Trail at about 1200' elevation and gauge said it topped out at 148km/h. Keepin mind its a mountain sled. That was with stock gearing and Yammi's reccommended clutching for that elevation.
My stock skid plate got ripped off, was it snow that packed in there or not??????? who knows!!!!!! Got the ultra plate cause that was all the dealer had, no I'm told a stock skid plate is on back order until March!!!!!!!! :o| To say the least, I'm a little pissed. There's such a gap between...
I changed my first set of sliders at 1400km. I just passed 1800km and have to change them again. And that was with about 100km of trail riding, the rest in fields. As stupid as I looked, I laid across my seat sideways and hung my head over the boards watching the track on the trail. My lugs...
I kept the stock gearing, just changed the weights and spring. Seems to work good. Hit 145km/h on hard pack the other day, not sure if it had much more tho. But that's plenty fast enuff.
Switch, how is the Timbersled holding up? I've been looking at it too but wasn't sure if it would hold up to the ditch banging and field running when I'm not out west in the hills. I've heard it works good out west but wasnt strong enough in the flatlands?????
I got about 700miles on mine now and gotta change my hifax too. I hit a huge dirt lump last night which broke one of my hifax so that didnt help the wear and tear at all :o|
I noticed this too....my feet were never wet (Klim Adrenalines). I noticed the snow is melting in the left footwell but not the right. I was thinking maybe just the heat from the clutches????
On the back of the box the Arctic Cat in marked off but the guy at the dealership i bought it from said the cat and the yamaha ones are the same......... maybe they aren't!!!!!! #$%&*
Cause it is not lining up. I tried doing on bolt a little bit at a time and that didn't work. As soon as...
Silent and Nikolai,
How much of a pain in the azz to put the adapter on? I drilled out the holes like the kit says and it doesn't align at all. WTF???????? :o|
Did you guys have that problem?
Nikolai,
How high is the riser you have on there? How much higher is it than stock with the pivot adapter? :4STroke: I need to know how high I should go. Stock riser is too far back by about 1-2" and too low about 3". What riser would I have to use to get where I want to be?
May not be what I want to hear but thanks for at least being honest. Trial by error I guess.
I have the stock settings (8-10K feet). revs out at 9200+rpm. Only for short bursts though. I guess we'll see in a couple weeks.
Finally got my nytro last week!!!!!
Just wondering how the stock weight settings are with Yamahas (this is my first one). Heading to Revy in a couple weeks and wanting to know which weights to use. Everything else is stock.
Thanks :4STroke:
