on mine she seems to puke out a little the skid plate has residue on it if I top it off properly it will puke it out but seems to find a happy medium about 3/4" below the cross section of the dip stick. once in awhile the oil light comes on in the morning on cold days but I figure if shes happy...

Department of No Results!!!
I agree we need wildlife and recreational protection but come on their terrible.
I wish they had a hunt season for the DNR officers I'd get my hunting license tomorrow!!!
its part of owning a yamaha steering play, crappy bushings, a arm bolts coming out, poor hyfax wear, cold hands etc etc.
But I've never been towed and towed 4 sleds and never blown a motor!
Check out some of the johndee journals I think he compares them in a few from the beginning of the season.
Here's some idea of why I ride a yami xtx its a fun sled and I feel it gives me the best bang for the buck, oil once a season run 87 fuel etc 5 year warranty not even sure you can get...
I can live with changing the bushings out on mine after 3000 miles. Mine are all kinda sloppy and the ball joints are getting loose too on my xtx.
But I would classify this as wear and tear its just my sled getting back at me for flogging it over 2ft moguls.
I think it's funny how a few...
I looks like crap in my opinion its cool and all but on a xtx they should have used the same steering stem as the RTX (the T type)
it has 3 different colored parts kind of goofy looking.
I noticed a few oil drips in the bottom front of the motor oil level is down slightly.
Not too worried about it 5 year warranty I'm more irritated by the hyfax wear.
Stewart Thanks alot got it now. I was really looking forward to trying the springs out then I ran into that and I'm leaving tomorrow at 5 am ofcourse all the dealerships were closed.
I just got a spring kit for my xtx and How do you get the springs off?
I got all the pre load out and the spring hits the rebound clicker. Do you just hold the black clicker and take out the little phillips screw???
It is great having the extra fuel I thought I would be using them all the time but guess what only once and that was when I forgot to fill them lol.
radianguy is right on the money I'm 6'4'' and the trunk bag doesn't bother me one bit its a ride up near the tank or stand sled.
I have the fuel caddy ones on a xtx from normal trail riding the ice build up is horrible. Also I have had two of the bags that go over the brackets/gas cans replaced. the first one a ice ball developed on the pull string for the zipper and took out the zipper. The second one so much ice built...
Is anybody riding off trail on friday? That is if conditions permit.
I would really like to tag along on some boondocking never really seem to get to do it.
Just noticed these today http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/acces ... all/1.aspx
