I just got a spring kit for my xtx and How do you get the springs off?

I got all the pre load out and the spring hits the rebound clicker. Do you just hold the black clicker and take out the little phillips screw???

is there 2 collars/retainer washers holding the spring......one should have a slot in it that, its just wider than the shock shaft. Pull it out and the spring will fall of.

i dont have an xtx but it should be the same as all other models

yeah I got the retainer sloted part off the spring hits the rebound clicker

Carefully take out the little screw to remove the clicker knob. You won't find anything surprising or remarkable, just the one screw. No oil leak potential.

Stewart Thanks alot got it now. I was really looking forward to trying the springs out then I ran into that and I'm leaving tomorrow at 5 am ofcourse all the dealerships were closed.
