    Time to Refresh

Pretty much done. New drive shaft also, as the other was done and i got break on the new one. By the time I took the original to a machine shop, plus the cost, it was well worth the new one. With the BOP kit and new bearing from the onset, it should be good. Love the sled but what gets...

Reverse won't engage unless no resistance on drive line

I found this sled likes the belt a little lower in the sheave than normal. I run an ultimax exactly even or just slightly under, which has worked for me.

    Time to Refresh

Well, with 9,800 miles on the SW and an over heated chain case the second and last time out last year due to a hairline crack and leaking fluid; decided to refresh. New chain case, gears, chain, drive axle, bearings, track and studs. With the light snow last year a little skiddish on spending...

Dreaded Chain Case Crack Got Me!

That's why this site is so great. I never even checked these bolts seasonally. I will be doing so from this point on as I typically remove the skid every year to go over it.

Dreaded Chain Case Crack Got Me!

Oh yeah it will be all shiny new. The whole kit Caboodle. I will say that with the way we ride, the front end is solid as is the skid. So, for those crying about quality issues it just has not been my experience. Sure my Apex chain case and overall build quality is tough. Never an issue with the...

Dreaded Chain Case Crack Got Me!

Well, you are so right. I would have to admit that driving aggressively through trail junk over the years surely didn't help. I do take meticulous care of my machines but I run the snot out of them also. Apex, Muscle car, ATV etc...I mean isn't that the point after all. :p

Dreaded Chain Case Crack Got Me!

As if it the short season wasn't bad enough, I got dinged by the fatal flex crack that seems to be happening to those that have logged over 9,000 miles. I have been lucky with some due diligence as well. Keep bearings greased, constantly check chain case and drive shaft each year for wear and...

Also check your primary rollers. mine where bad. I run the belt even or just below the top of secondary sheave. Since 1,500miles , I have not...
